Check in was friendly and helpful, lobby was clean. As soon as the elevator doors opened on the fourth floor, I began to regret my choice. Hallway walls were discoloured and smelled of cooking. The carpets were dirty, worn and buckling in spots high enough to become a tripping hazard. The room door was sticky and required a shove everytime you wanted to get through it. It appeared to have been hastily repaired after being damaged. The room was clean but about 15 - 20 years out of date, with well used furniture. One of the two bathtubs was bordering on dangerous; The bottom wasn’t flat, it was like standing in a bowl. Those with mobility issues would struggle to safety get in and out. Plugs, lamps and TVs didn’t work in either bedroom. Maintenance rectified this while we went for dinner. The room had a very faint urine smell that we couldn’t quite locate. We found a large water leak in the main floor hallway, coming from the ceiling by the pool and alerted the staff as it seemed no one had noticed. One of the elevators was stuck on the 5th floor the whole time we were there. Our car was keyed in the parking lot and as we understand, car theft is not unheard of from there either. Over seven nights, we never had maid service. We asked on two occasions for new towels, and got them, but the old ones along with the garbage just kept piling up. Breakfast was acceptable and the staff were all very polite. However, I won’t be coming back.
