Great little no-frills hotel in a good location downtown. Room had a sink but shared bathroom/shower which was clean and did the trick. Easy check in with the front desk, which closes at 11pm, so check-in is no later than 11pm, which was told to me in welcome email. Near subway, city hall, queen West, walkable to Skydome, Union station, arena, etc. Attached bar is a cool little place that has live jazz every night!

The room was affordable, clean, and well-located. Very close to the subway station, the streetcars, and many good restaurants. It smells immaculate, but it can get very cold, and the heater took quite a while to heat the whole room. While the room and the hotel are clean, we were hesitant to use the dryer because it was full of dust. Apart from that, we are delighted with our stay and hope to come back again if we visit Toronto.

This was my first time staying at the rex. I just needed somewhere downtown to spend the night. The Rex was perfect for the price. The staff were friendly, flexible and helpful. The room was clean and there are posters and art everywhere, it's a charming spot to explore the city from woth great restaurants and entertainment nearby. I'll be booking with them again.
