They reused both a broken stove and dishwasher in a remodeled room. The construction workers that stay while working on the remodel are suspect for sure. And the company has gradually gotten rid of half of the so called breakfast. Very cheap company.

The “hot water” dispenser in breakfast room isn’t hot enough to make tea. Landscape is over watered! Front desk staff NEVER smile or greet you! Lady in breakfast room suggested I use the microwave in my room to heat up the hot water for my tea!! I want to have my hot tea at breakfast, not later in my room!

Even though the lobby was under construction, they were accomidating and friendly. Great room. Clean and comfortable. The outside BBQ areas were perfect, we grilled 2 of the nights we stayed there.

There was no mention that the property is currently undergoing construction which was being done at night and started early at 0800. Areas of the hotel were closed off, which was inconvenient. additionally, they place a charge of $250 per night per room for the deposit instead of a hold on your card.Hoping that my $500 deposit is credited back soon, but sign says 3-30 days.

We went to check in and the lobby was shut down (remodeled) Signs pointed to an interior area, but it took us a while to find check-in. Staff was pleasant. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (if it hadn't been a Thanksgiving trip, we would have changed hotels). Entry door and bedroom door needed a strong shoulder nudge to open either. Unit next to us had a large dog with a massive, annoying bark. One bedroom suite layout is nice. Bedroom, bath with separate living, kitchenette area. There was no dining area for breakfast, take out only. Eggs and sausage. Sausage were like pieces of leather. We have stayed at many Sonestas around the country. This was by far, the worst. Maybe after their renovations, it will get better.

It was an okay hotel--it did was it needed to. Not the best location, but close to LAX which is what we wanted. Staff were friendly. Lots of renovations going on when we stayed so it wasn't the most visually pleasing. Couldn't locate the gym but also didn't ask so our fault there. Free breakfast included which was pretty standard stuff (cereal, toast, coffee, tea, eggs, bacon or sausage). Room smelled old/damp, however it was clean and stocked with toiletries and ample towels. Nice having a kitchen to cook with as we went to Trader Joes to grab some food. Some of the kitchen utensils were dirty so I recommend giving it a wash first. Some of the outlets were quite loose so it was hard to charge our technology at times. The fridge can be loud at times so if you're a sensitive sleeper, might be disturbing.
