This hotel is a gem. Beautiful setting, great beach and pool, friendly staff. A special mention to Bala and Pape for making this stay unforgettable. The rooms could use a little maintenance but that is only a detail. I can strongly recommend as I will definitely return.

I Love this place. It’s so heavenly. This was my second time staying there. Housekeeping does such a great job and the staff are amazing. Definitely book it if you are looking for a lay back getaway.

The staff was excellent! They were so friendly and helpful. I just wish Royam had a better parking situation. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Mid range French owned hotel. Staff service at restaurant really poor and slow. Complaint ignored by Manager as confirmed as passed on by Reception and no reason why no response.

I loved the unique individual cabin style accommodation, it gave a feeling that we were in our own apartment. However the one that we were given didn't have a mosquito net and we didn't report it until the last day. We were therefore bitten throughout the stay. There was some renovations going on in the next room. They were careful not to disturb us early in the morning which was good but there was waste and rubbish left outside our cabin which gave it a neglected appearance. The wider public areas were fantastic. We went half board. Breakfast great. Dinner - when there was a buffet great. Sometimes there was a set menu, choice was limited on these nights I ate more bread so I wasn't hungry. The beach was super, it was attached to the property, really clean and well maintained. The loungers and the parasols were all clean and there was enough of them for everyone. The staff and entertainment were really top and helpful. We took a walk around outside the hotel. It is surrounded by security to prevent beggars from harassing the tourists. As soon as you leave this area the local area shows that this area is very deprived, there is no activity in the immediate vicinity outside the hotel. I would absolutely stay again but would check that the room had a mosquito net before unpacking my bags.

Beautiful area on the beach. Grounds are so nice and the pool is great too. Beach is lively in the evening/late afternoon and very quiet during the day. A really wonderful resort. Staff are so helpful and polite.

The only complain I have is the fact that the phone directory was not available in the room. I had to google the customer service number in order to be directed to dial the 3 digit number for the front desk. Also the internet was very unstable.

Cats drinking out of the swimming pool
I really wish I could give a better rating but the fact cats are just allowed to roam around at dinner time and also drink out of the swimming pool really put me off as its highly unclean as these are not pet cats & can carry disease. The beach is nice and staff are attentive & get a free welcome drink on arrival. Rooms are ok and a good size. The lady in the gift shop was rude & kept following me around as if I was going to steal. I actually questioned her on it as it was everytime. Seafood buffet on Tuesdays & breakfast was nice but set menu is incredibly bland and tasteless

Brilliant choice for a relaxing beach holiday. Half board is great value. Staff are friendly and efficient. Local taxis offer good rates for safari trip to nearby nature reserve and other 1/2 day visits.

I would not stay here again. I tried to temper my expectations for a resort in another countey but this location was disappointing. Staff was very nice, especially at the desk and bar. I checked into my room at 2 pm. I was taken to my room and once I got settled, a staffer tried to ented my room. She said she was doing control. My room had everything it needed, so I did not understand why she was there. After a while, I noticed small ants on my bed. I killed them as I.saw them, but the number of ants kept growing. Later in the evening I went to dinner. Staff kind of forgot I was present and didn't take my order for 30 minutes. Once the order was taken, another 30 minutes passed and I flagged down the server. He asked how was the meal and realized he did not turn it in. I sat for a short while before my appetizer arrived. Upon finishing dinner and having a nightcap, I returned to my room only to find my bed filled with those ants. Staff immediately changed my room. I appreciate the quick response form staff, but it is not enough for me to stay here ever again. The property seems dated, a bit stuffy, and dingy. Even the view of the ocean will not make me change my mind.

Good hotel
Nice hôtel with beachfront access. Decent rooms, though could do with some modernisation in facilities, bathrooms could be updated and some rooms have tiny tv's, definitely not the advertised TV sizes. Internet connection in the rooms is not great and could do with boosters to allow better connection. Restaurant and food selection is good.
