Place is very convenient to restaurants and onsens.
On our last day, when we returned to our room at 8.30am after breakfast, the futon beds were already stored away. Checkout time was 10am. We had to sit on the floor in the meantime. We were still paying guests and should not be subject to such discomfort in their eagerness to clean the room early.
Traditional Japanese onsen house with breakfast and Kaiseki dinner option. The house is situated at corner of street, right behind 1 of onsen spot. Breakfast & dinner are delicious and ladies who served meals in dining are friendly. It’s good getaway from busy city life.
My husband and I had a pleasant one night stay at this ryokan! Staff are very courteous and welcoming. We were greeted with a welcome tea and orientation to the room, and onsen pass. Location is within walking distance to the train station and a few of the onsens nearby. There are no showers in the room, as all onsens have showers.
We got the kaiseki dinner and breakfast service, and were served by the lovely older ladies who were very attentive. Felt welcome and would recommend to any guests coming to Kinosaki!
Staff was amazing, very kind and helpful. The room was very clean. The beds are on the floor in a traditional style, so be aware of that if you have any back issues. Would recommend to friends and family!
Our stay at Tsukimotoya Ryokan was so lovely. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast was remarkable and very delicious. The ryokan is nestled in a quiet street but very conveniently located to many of the town’s onsen. The room was comfortable and spacious. Everything was kindly set out for us to enjoy the onsen and they provided yukata to stroll around town. My husband and I really enjoyed our visit, would recommend Tsukimotoya Ryokan to anyone looking for a relaxing trip.
A very down to earth, comfortable, and amazing ryokan with exceedingly kind and helpful staff who want to help you have the best time. We managed to do all 7 onsen over 2 nights and on the last morning they looked after our bags and lent us towels to do one last round.
This isn’t the most flash ryokan like you see in rich influencers videos, but if you want an authentic stay that’s a comfy place to call home for a couple nights with great food and staff, this is a guaranteed winner.
We were warmly welcomed into this traditional ryokan where were were shown to our room and served tea. Towels, bags and Onsen passes were provided with explanations of where the Onsens were and how to properly use them. Dinner was an amazing spread of a traditional seafood kaiseki meal. Breakfast was a way out of our Canadian norm as it was a lot of fish rice and egg but are always up for new experiences.
Overall we were very pleased with our experience and would definitely visit again.
Such a wonderful place to stay, perfect for an overnight stay or 2 whilst relaxing in all the surrounding Onsen. Room was wonderfully spacious and clean.
Absolutely amazing location and atmosphere. staff was very helpful and attentive. the rooms were very cozy. there is a footbath just outside the front of the building, and best of all it comes with a pass to the local bath houses.
The staff of the ryokan were very kind and helpful and happy to answer any questions. Our room was beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here.
It is very nice and clean. Nice size room with Tatami (Japanese traditional floor). Little too big for one person to stay. My room was No elevator!! breakfast room was good ( table and chairs). No good view from room. The sofa is not clean and old. I did not feel like to sit.
Small town. Easy to access. 8 mins walk from Kinosaki railway station. Traditional Japanese tatami setting. Spacious and clean. Package includes breakfast and dinner. Value for money!

Friendly family owned Ryokan, staff especially friemdly and they go out of thir way to make one's stay a plesant experience. Highly recommended
friendly staff. great food for both dinner and breakfast. there is only one shared shower for each gender, but when you are surrounded by onsens, who needs extra showers.
