When I first entered the Persian Room, I was extremely impressed with the decor. I loved the theme and the thought put into everything. When my daughter went to take a bath, our amazement quickly turned to disgust. There were dead gnats covering the bathtub. I know these things sometimes happen so I told her to turn on the water and wash them out. When she turned the water on, the bathtub jets came on soaking her and more gnats appeared. We both decided a bath just wasn't in the cards for either of us, so we checked the shower. It was more of the same. Sadly, we ended up going to a live show downtown without a shower or bath. Thankfully we weren't out of town travelers. The linens didn't appear to be washed either and when we looked under the bed, it didn't look like it had been cleaned in a very long time. There was a sharp contrast between the areas you can see and the areas you wouldn't normally look. It's sad, that the owners aren't nearby and depend on others to upkeep an otherwise beautiful and uniquely themed hotel. I really wanted to love this place and see the themes of the other rooms but after this experience, I think I will pass.
