Didn't like that the office was locked at 5am when I came for coffee on 1/24/25. She said the office didn't open until 6am. I told the clerk the office had been open previous days before 6am. I came back later with the hotel brochure, which showed that coffee was available 24 hours. I suggested an update and she was unapologetic and didn't concede to the discrepancy. She may have thought I was rude though kindly as I could was stating the facts. Everyone else was super! Like the artistic theme of the hotel

Clean bed and sheets. They gave me the room furthest from the office which was inconvenient. At 9 pm a drunk woman was beating on my door and yelling . There is a huge men’s jail a block or so away. I did not feel safe. My electronic keypad door broke and I had to hike to the office. They gave me a real key. They stated in written literature there was coffee and breakfast at 6 am. There is no coffee in the room or phonesThe first morning I was there I walked to where the office is at 6 am, 6:30 am and 6:45 am. It was dark and locked. No coffee or food so I drove to Waffle House. The next morning there was coffee at 6 but the clerk was in an alcove with the light turned off so no one could find her. I needed to check out in person because I now had a key due to the broken door system. The clerk finally emerged after I was there 15 minutes. I gave her the key and checked out. I received a text a few hours later asking me to check out. My floor looked clean but my white socks turned black when I walked around. This was an outrageous price I paid for the experience.

Quirky but charming. The structure is definitely from a bygone era. Everything works so that was reassuring. The ‘free’ breakfast was modest but sufficient. Really appreciated the easy free parking. The location was convenient for us to see mineral show activities.

When I've stayed at other motels that evoked nostalgia, usually it's because they haven't been renovated. Hotel McCoy's nostalgia was intentionally created by a series of artists so each area is unique. I took advantage of the oatmeal breakfast and long line of additives. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I really liked this hotel. nice people, very clean. Pop Tarts were a surprise, but different. Oatmeal was good too. Nice outside area, surprisingly quiet.

Unique vibe, friendly people

I stayed at Hotel McCoy for a 3 day visit to Tucson at the recommendation of a friend. I was impressed by the hospitality, unique art and an atmosphere designed to bring people together. We arrived to live music in the lobby and very friendly staff. The room was small but clean. Good value for the price paid. The heated pool was clean and cabana area colorful. The oatmeal bar was fantastic… I had no idea oatmeal could be so good. I loved that the staff put games out to encourage travelers to socialize. The location was convenient for hiking in Saguaro NP, Catalina SP and Sabino Canyon. When I return to Tucson I will definitely stay at Hotel McCoy again.
