Lupinfield Cottage - a Curated Experience

Lupinfield Cottage offers you a traditional Newfoundland experience with a uniquely curated vintage vibe. The home is well lit with natural light which dances through the wavy glass in the antique windows, passing from room to room throughout the day. As daylight fades, the cottage becomes softly illuminated with the warmth of vintage lighting and candlelight.

The heart of the home is the kitchen, welcoming you with a spacious open layout. Gather in this cozy space, and bask in the comforting warmth of a fire in the woodstove, perfect for our misty and grey foggy days. A charming galley kitchen, affectionately dubbed 'the butler's pantry,' is stocked with an array of spices and everything needed for your culinary adventures.

Upstairs you’ll find 4 unique bedrooms, with 2 queen and 2 double-sized beds. Each bed is outfitted with comfortable mattresses, pillows and clothesline fresh linens offering a tranquil haven for the perfect restful night.

Outside, the wild cottage gardens bloom continuously and are yours to enjoy. A dining patio in the side yard and a front porch allows you to catch sunshine all day while enjoying your meals outdoors as the fishing boats come and go. Kick back, letting the worries of the world melt away.

Nestled behind the house in the backyard is a yoga platform…yours to enjoy. A meandering trail cut through the field of lupins, roses and fruit trees makes the perfect spot for games of tag and hide & seek. Across the road is a rocky beach with beach chairs perfect for lounging, beach combing and dips on hot summer days. In the old sheep shed, a pop-up antique shop is occasionally open to the public and yours to snoop through if you wish!

To fully experience the magic of Twillingate and Lupinfield combined, we recommend planning a stay of three nights or more.

Lupinfield Cottage is a registered accommodations business with the Town of Twillingate and the province of Newfoundland & Labrador. Registration Number: 4523

Other things to note
For guests with travellers taller than 6 feet... just a heads-up... Lupinfield Cottage retains most of its original 19th century architecture. Including lower ceiling heights with a minimum height of 7’. Also notable are the original 19th century wood windows. While one or two of them may get cranky with changing weather all the windows work wonderfully and have been reglazed and restored. In the colder seasons I put on storm windows which have the three small air holes with a flap for fresh air. Storm windows will typically be removed at the end of May.

Parking for your car is in the driveway before the house, beside the root cellar. If you have a second car there's another parking space on the other side of the road to the left of our old boathouse on the beach.
Make yourself comfortable in this cottage, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a desk and a microwave.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

An old fashioned house with all the extra little touches
Charlie has lovingly restored this delightful house, respecting it's heritage with every detail, while providing all modern conveniences. He was a wonderful host in every way and we'd highly recommend a stay. You're on the edge of the ocean and folks greet to you as you pass. A most welcoming community.
