It’s a nice hotel. We stayed her for Grey Cup. Good location. Lots of dining options nearby. Clean hotel. The room cleaning service/turndown service were nice. We missed turndown service the final night. Perhaps because we were in our room at the wrong time. Only issue with room cleaning was the lack of cleaning the floors. By day 3 it was noticeable. The bed comfortable. The soaker tub nice. Couldn’t get room temp lower than 22C. They must have done something cause it was better for our last day. The Nespresso was enjoyable. The comp. water provided daily was nice. At checkout I was told we had taken 2 waters from the minibar. I informed them that we did no such thing. The gentleman was trying to convince me that we did and I explained we’ve never, at any hotel, ever partook of mini bar offerings and that we did not remove anything from the mini bar tray. I said that the only waters we drank were the ones left by our bedside during turndown service and the ones left inside the refrigerator, as we were told those were comp. He said that they were. I explained that I didn’t understand the issue then. I did explain that the room next to us one day was being serviced, and I went out there with complimentary carbonated waters and asked if I could switch them for flat waters, to which the housekeeping member obliged. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps there was a miscommunication w/ them and I was charged for the 2 he gave me? It was removed from our bill in the end.

I liked all the technology in the room - lights, curtains, shades, temperature were all controlled by a touch screen. The one downside to the room and the facility in general was the lighting. Everything was very dark, like it was a nightclub. The walls and ceiling in the rooms were painted dark colours absorbing much of the limited lighting that was available. This made it difficult to make coffee, put on makeup and read using the provided lighting and lamps.

AMAZING! If you're looking for a proper 5* service that goes along with the hotel, Paradox does it VERY WELL! Of all the 5* hotels I've stayed in Vancouver, they're truly FIRST PLACE at it!. Fabulous customer service from front desk, bell services, housekeeping, maintenance and house person services. I'm in awe that there is that ONE hotel in Vancouver that will do it RIGHT. It's that kind of 5* service I normally get in 5* hotels in Asia that is truly lacking in N. America and Eu in general but Paradox have blown me away on this day and has proven me that there is that ONE hotel that can DO IT!
