No Communication
I'm surprised this is on Hotels.com as it's actually more like an airbnb.The unit was as pictured and the balcony though small was fantastic. What was lacking was communication. Once we arrived with self check-in we tried to make contact thru emails and phone calls with no success. The issues were a TV that wouldn't display any channel. We didn't go to Venice to watch TV but at nite it would have been nice to have it on as background noise. The air conditioner said remote only. It went on ok but I couldn't turn it off the 3 days. It was more of a noise issue that anything else. I found myself without hot water in the shower. I found the hot water heater in a cabinet in the kitchen and we discovered that a common looking kitchen switch actually turned it on/off. I wouldn't give less of a rating for the bed as upon looking closely at the pics you can tell it's a sofa bed. This was my fault for not looking closer though one would think the description would have specified, "sofa bed". It wasn't terrible but sweaked alot. This is owned by a corporation that doesn't seem to care enough to make any effort at personal communication. In spite of these issues, it's a great location away from tourists and on a nice canal.
