Charming but dated
So most of these issues are maybe out of the control of the hotel but should be considered from any guests. I am quite disappointed with this one. $400 a night room and a plethora of issues. First, construction... Right infront of the hotel, at 6AM. YES! 6AM. And this place has no soundproofing, like you can hear the construction ppl talking. Second, there is a disco or cloud or something really close to the hotel. So naturally without soundproofing, you hear the beats right up to 2-3AM. Quick math, 3 hours of sleep. Not to the hotel itself. It's charming there's not doubt. The bricks and stone walls are great and inspire thoughts of the history this building has endured. The downside is that this place is dated. The decor if the rooms would not be out of place in a hotel 20 years ago. The furniture has also seen some better days. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It's in a beautiful section of Montreal with plenty of small shops and restaurants in walking distance. The whole area is VERY pedestrian friendly. The property is very nice with an excellent restaurant. The staff was the best. They were very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Everything was wonderful with the hotel, staff, room amd amenities! The only drawback was the unfortunate construction in front of the hotel. However, this didn't impact our stay negatively. We had a fabulous time!

Warning: construction everywhere!!!
The hotel is great and well located. BUT: there are constructions everywhere (until 2026) around and the hotel itself is also going into construction (remodeling). So there is noise everywhere in the streets, people working inside the hotel, dust, equipment etc and THIS IS NOT ANNOUNCED IN THE HOTEL WEBSITE. We had the room 410 and were waken up at 5:58am with noise from the street everyday. Also, someone working in the hotel remodeling opened our room door by accident at 8am of our second night. We had a bad stay and would recommend guests to return to the hotel only after the city works are done and after the hotel remodeling is finished. And we suggest the hotel management to disclose in its website these conditions, we felt very much ripped off. See pictures of how the hotel surroundings are.
