Just lovely!
We had a lovely stay, everything was as described. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Villa was great! The little town is cute and close to lots of interesting sites. I recommend staying here!

Quite a gem.
A charming restored villa in a classic italian style. If you are looking for somewhere which is the opposite of the modern chain hotel, then go to Villa Bongiovanni. There are only a few bedrooms, and they are very well presented with high wooden beamed ceilings, and very reasonably priced. The bathrooms are modern though, with an excellent shower.

Cozy and charming little villa
The villa is very charming, is family owned and they run it themselves, a very quiet area, very clean villa and rooms, there is a nearby train station which take to Venice in about an hour, the breakfast was very good, even though was the same one every day. The rooms have a minibar, which I would prefer a mini fridge instead and there is no microwave. The breakfast area is very quiet, which is good, but I would really liked to listen to some Italian music in a low volume at least in the background. Overall, me and my family loved the Villa and we may come back.

It was off season, hence the hotel appeared quite empty. Nevertheless, staff wass a charm and enjoyed my stay. This is the country side of Italy, and me only being here for one night, hence not sure what you have around here, but nice place to stay.

we stay in Villa Bongiovanny every year and never stop enjoying it, whateever aspect is concerned. unlike many villas and appartments this villa has a luxury of lift. Those who travel with skiing gear or shopping fans perhaps may appreciate it more than anyone else. sometimes when you stay for just one night in a no-lift appartment you start feeling like Sizyphus, pushing your bags up the stairs one day just to struggle them down the enxt one. The villa is about to complete the construction of a swiming pool, scheduled to open by summer.

Wonderful boutique hotel close to Verona
If you travel by car and want to spend a couple of days in a hotel with a character I recommend Villa Bongiovanni. This carefully refurbished 18th century villa offers everything you need at a very modest price. The only shortcoming for some may be relatively small rooms.

We loved this hotel
this is our second visit after one year and it already feels a bit like home. the owner is invariably nice and cordial, room is big and comfortable. location is very advantageous for visiting Soave castle of taking next morning flight from Verona airport (takes ca. 30 min).

Beautiful hotel in a rural setting
Proprietor was very welcoming and hospitable, even though he was also hosting a wedding party in the adjacent banquet hall. The building is obviously well cared for and a great blend of classic construction and modern amenities. The breakfast selection is exceptional.

Splendid Villa
Magnificient villa just 25 min drive from the airport. Spatious, comfortable room with stylish, vintage furniture. Nice place to relax after of before a long journey. Very amiable, friendly owner. if you venture out, I suggest you should visit Il Gabbiano ice cream parlour in San Bonifacio. State of art ice cream. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Yes it was Perfect..... ( but only with a car!)
The owner was extremely kind. It was quaint and quiet, well maintained and beutiful and definately had the Italian villa feel. The Only downsides were the breakfast which was very minimal and the location. You absolutely must have a car. You must. ......We used the train. The train was a $10 euro taxi ride for two in EACH direction plus on the return trip you have to call for the taxi usin the Italian phones unless you have a phone that will work locally. If you want to be outside Verona and get the Italian villa experience this is it but ONLY with a car

Beautiful villa with a nice homey feeling
Villa Bongiovanni was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting Northern Italy (Venice and Verona). It is situated conveniently off the highway which runs from Verona to Venice, near Soave. We drove to just outside Venice, parked and took a boat over to walk through the city. The castle at Soave is only 10 minutes away and Verona is about a 45 minute drive west. The villa is completely renovated so everything is new, clean and comfortable. The owner encourages guests to hang out in the common rooms and "live" in the villa. The surrounding town of San Bonifacio is small and very quiet. The owner goes out of his way to make sure the guests are comfortable and feel welcomed. He also gives excellent advice on good restaurants and local sites for touring. Very quiet and peaceful place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.
