Had a wonderful stay at The Embassy Inn and will definitely stay again. The location was perfect - walkable to everything in the Downtown Inner Harbour, yet far enough away from the gritty areas of Victoria downtown. The James Bay area is really beautiful. Close to the Parliament Building, IMAX/Museum, The Empress, Causeway, dining, Beacon Hill Park, shopping. The hotel service was excellent. Fast check-in, very clean rooms, and a breakfast buffet with so much choice and attention to detail. Constantly stocked and a huge variety. The 24-hour coffee machine was awesome to have (the lattes were excellent). Lots of parking, security cameras, staff 24-hours, balconies. Very quiet, nice comfy beds. Excellent value for the money.

Perfect location
Location is perfect for downtown Victoria and harbour. Decor a little dated but very clean. Allowed early parking and late leaving. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was quiet and clean, and the breakfast is an excellent added value. I do think charging a daily rate for parking is a bit of a cash grab, and perhaps a flat fee per stay would be better, if anything. In spite of that, the hotel is in close proximity to the harbour and very walkable. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it!

I travelled with my Mother and my Sister. They have large family suites with multiple (comfortable) bed options and a full kitchen. The free breakfast is outstanding and the hotel is in a fabulous location, a stones throw from the Harbour front, and a short walk to abundant shopping options. We took advantage of the horse drawn carriages being right just down the street. The narrated tour is an experience well worth the cost. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is central to downtown. However the ownership has changed since I was last there. They now charge for parking, and the breakfast was very disappointing. I came down with Covid and we couldn’t stay the second night. They did not offer a refund or a credit.
