We really wanted to like our stay at Mooons but struggled with the little details. The hotel is clean, new, and modern and it we generally felt our room and our bathroom were the same (although when I dropped something to require me to look under the bed I did find a bunch of pistachio nuts).
However, the rooms were hot. I asked reception the first night and while the service was quite nice, there was nothing they could do. This continued through our stay and the woman we spoke to who came to our room (to help with the TV issue described below) had said they received a number of complaints that the rooms were too hot. So we spent at least 3 nights with the room well and truly above 20C with no way of opening the windows.
The second thing that irked us was the tech connectivity. The Google chrome connection to the TV did not want to cooperate. The front desk clerk could not figure it out. After a long day out exploring Vienna we just wanted to relax and watch a movie so this was frustrating.
Finally, they make a nice gesture by giving you a “free drink” at check in, however it was only Prosecco or a soft drink. All fine, it’s free, but it would have just been nice to know the limits as my partner and I were keen in getting a beer or glass of wine as our drink. I’d suggest clearer communication with the voucher.
