Our third trip to a Iceland and our first time staying at the Puffin Hotel. My wife Wendy and I stopped here on our road trip to Egillsstaðir. Check in was a breeze, the staff was super friendly. Our room was sparse but clean, typical Icelandic. The included breakfast was EXCELLENT. Delicious Skyr, fresh fruit etc. An easy walk to town, for another stop at Black Crust Pizza. Would definitely recommend the Puffin Hotel.

The staff was very helpful and allowed us to take two towels to a hot spring without charge. The beds were comfortable and the area is quiet. There are restaurants within walking distance.

Anniversary trip
Hubby and I stayed 2 nights. Very Friendly staff, no elevator to make hauling luggage easier, 2 flights of stairs was not ideal. Icelandic continental breakfasts are different not sure if it was worth it. Comfy bed, bedding and pillows. tv did not work.

Overall our experience here was great. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff during check-in were very friendly and helpful. Our stay included a continental breakfast which was very simple but got the job done. The other real complaints that we had was 1) that our window faced the back of a bar so there was quite a bit of noise in the evening from staff at the bar taking bins of bottles and cans outside and dumping them into bags, and 2) that the room was quite small and there wasn't much space for luggage without tripping over it. That being said, I would definitely stay here again!

Low value for money, comfortable room
Room is fine with basic amenities. Not much contact with staff, feeling a little cool. Interior design of the hotel is minimal, like a hostel, including the breakfast restaurant. However it is the most expensive hotel per night in comparing with the other 6 hotels we used in Iceland in this single trip.

Location is great and they have a good breakfast. Staff was helpful, they waited until we arrived late at night from our road trip. It is a good option for a short stay in Vik. They have parking available.
