CASA DA TAPA 7 is an historical building dating from the 16th century in the center of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, 30 minutes by car from the Alto Douro region. It opned in 2017, offering 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms with fireplace, dining room, kitchen, 1 bathroom, cable TV and WiFi. It accommodates up to 6 guests who, in addition to the house, can enjoy a large lawn with dining area, barbecue and panoramic views.
CASA DA TAPA 7 is located next to the Chapel of the Lord and to the Forest Park of Vila Pouca de Aguiar. In the historical center of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, the surrounding is very quiet with walking access to the main services and offering great views, especially from the garden.
The ideal place for those who like to explore, relax and enjoy nature. The numerous rails invite you to walks and discoveries, either on foot or by bike. wonderful old house
We were welcomed by Isabel who lives nearby who was very helpful despite the language problems (as well as english french seems to be quite useful) You could spend a whole day exploring the furnishings and fittings and has a very lived in feel. We were out and about every day and spent evenings mainly in the kitchen with it's large rustic table as the living and dining rooms were rather gloomy. This did not detract from the stay and would wonderful in winter with 3 open fires. The main bedroom is large airy and light, looking over the side street to the small church opposite. The town centre is only a few minutes walk and has a few average restaurants although another 3 were shut for holidays. The place has 2 italian restaurants (1 shut) with the casa mia being outstanding. We found the local people very friendly and would go out of their way to help in any way. The town's location near 2 motorways (make sure you get a device to activate the automatic toll charges) makes it a good location for visiting the Douro region, guimaraes, braga, chaves, porto, and although it is a good 1 1/2 hours drive the parque nacional da peneda geres which reminds me of my much beloved lake district.

authentisches Haus in sehr guter Lage
Sie sollten etwas Verständnis mitbringen für die landestypische Bauweise und das Alter dieses Hauses, dann werden sie sicherlich über einige Mankos der Küchenaus-stattung und den etwas düsteren Gesamteindruck des Hauses hinwegsehen. Das Bad ist frisch renoviert, die Betten sind in Ordnung. Der Garten ist etwas verwildert, aber gross mit wunderbarem Blick über die Berge . Sie sind mitten in der Stadt, fussläufig zu einem wunderbaren Bäcker, den Supermärkten und einigen Restaurants. Wir haben landestypisch hervorragend und äusserst preiswert gegessen. Die Lage ist verkehrstechnisch wunderbar, wenn sie den Norden Portugals erkunden möchten. Auto uner- lässlich aber selbst in der näheren Umgebung finden sie viele kleine Überraschungen und schöne Wandermöglichkeiten
