I would not stay here again. Room was pretty clean, but there were fleas in it. There were no towels and no hot water. The pool just outside the room doors is dug up, there are mounds of rubble piled around. Keurig coffee maker had water standing in it, rather nasty. There was only one other customer at the place. I texted the contact given for assistance during our stay, got no response.

We chose this as it was pet-friendly and available on the spur of the moment. Check-in fellow was very friendly, place was clean. We had an excellent meal at Jeremy's On The Hill right next door. Notes: - Ask at checkin for the WiFi code, we could not find it. - And how to operate the HVAC. It's one of those universal symbol remotes that is easy once you know it but not obvious.

Didn’t receive the room # and code via text as was stated in the initial text. Showed up at the front desk at 4 pm, it was open but no one there. Unable to check until 6pm after many many texts, phone calls and messaging through Hotels.com, After receiving a phone call telling me they were trying to reach me?!?! We returned to the hotel where the front desk person was kind and helpful. Room needed repairs (damaged bathroom door, needed paint), shower soap dispense fell onto my husband's foot after 1 minute in the shower and spilled slippery soap on the floor and in tub. TV had glowing spots on the screen. WiFi didn't connect.

We loved our stay for the most part. It was quiet and friendly management. Beds were great! Two things that would improve our stay would be a way to get hot water sooner and a small microwave would be nice for those leftovers.

We had an amazing stay at the Apple Tree Inn in Julian, CA, from March 14th to 16th. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The service was outstanding—everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The inn itself is charming, clean, and well-maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly complements Julian’s small-town charm. The rooms were cozy, and the location was great—close to town but still quiet enough for a relaxing getaway. If you’re looking for a warm and inviting place to stay in Julian, we highly recommend the Apple Tree Inn. We’ll definitely be returning!

Apple Tree Resort

The bed was not comfortable. Our heads felt like they were sloped donward from our feet. The pillows were too puffy. We used our own pillows. We enjoyed the room We were very happy with the place being petty friendly. Our pup enjoyed the large yard in the back. We enjoyed being central to Julian and Santa Ysabel. We hiked the Pacific Crest Trail up to Eagle Rock and explored Anza Borrego park. The staff were very friendly and provided very good service. I want to add photos but the app will not allow me?

Out of season stay was perfect here for my sister and I. Stayed in end of February so weather was a mix...cold and rainy, foggy or partly cloudy. Check in was easy (with a code) and practical. We arrived after office hours. All rooms clean, cute kitchenette, all appliances in good shape. I loved the fresh smelling sheets. Host was quick to respond to any inquiries or issues, like how to work the remote control for the heater, (we are not tech savvy) which they came to our room to immediately show us how to work it. This was great because it was a cold night 31F. Efficient and they did an excellent job of making sure we were comfortable, had enough towels, or needed anything. Highly recommend!!! (Restaurant and bar next door, did not try but nice to know there was a place one could dine without having to drive into town (Julian several miles away) if one was too tired.)

There was smalls things that should be fixed in the hotel room. 1. TV had white spots through out the screen, which it made it hard to watch tv clearly. 2. The cable wire going into the room from the wall had an open electrical box exposed thru the drywall. 3. Shower curtain was moldy and tub appeared to be dirty and dingy as well. 4. How I am grateful that you supplied shampoo and conditioner. The dispensers did not work. 5. Headboard was lose and everytime you moved in the bed it would bang the headboard into the wall. We hung a towel between the wall and the headboard and that seemed to help. 6. The mattress was so soft or broken down that it sagged in the middle and now I have had back issues ever since.

It's ok

I'm not a fan of the electronic check in and out but I'm sure a lot of people are. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We ran the water for 5 minutes and couldn't get any hot for showers which was annoying. It's a good location.

Easy check-in process, quiet environment, comfortable beds and in the cold later evening/night the heater was a welcomed, awesome and easy to work amenity. The smart TV had all of the apps which was fantastic with no issues. I loved that tasty restaurants are within walking distance (very convenient) and downtown is only 3 miles up. I stayed one night. The only thing I had to take a star off for is the water in my room took a very long time to heat up, the water pressure was low in the shower, and didn't get hot. Other than that, I was comfortable and enjoyed my stay. Knowing all of this, I would still come back.
