We checked in and took our luggage up to our room. notice that the room had a strange smell, but we figured since its not a newer hotel it would happen, as I was walking into the bathroom there was a cockroach in the bathroom floor, we immediately gathered our luggage and went downstairs to the service guest and infirmed the receptionist about the incident. I was told that they would inform their manager, I had to ask to get a different room, only then the service desk agreed to move us to a different room

The property is dated, but serves its purpose. The rates are good when booking third party. The staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located for walking, dining, and shopping. The hotel needs some love and care. My recommendations would be to update the window curtains in the rooms, update the couches in the suites, and apply some touch up paint to worn areas, such as exterior room doors.

The location is good but the place is rather run down. The main issues we experienced while staying at this property is one of the two elevators not working the entire stay - leading to long waits and cramped rides. Second, it is a pet friendly hotel which is fine but the rooms are not sound proof enough - we could hear a dog barking in the room next to ours through the entire night. Also lots of sound carried through from the hallways. I would not recommend this for a family, as there were lots of people coming in late at night and being loud. Parking is only valet and is $30 a day, which felt steep for the area.
