We brought our teenagers up to DC for some great food and cultural experiences after Christmas. Location was amazing: walked to Smithsonian, high end shopping (Dior, Chanel, Hermes, etc), and some great restaurants. Staff was amazingly cheerful and helpful, hotel restaurant was solid. Would definitely return.
Great location and friendly staff, the room is quite small, it has no refrigerator, coffee maker, bathroom door does not close properly, the bed is not very comfortable to sleep on, you’ll wake up with a sore back, we stayed for 4 nights and the bed made it unpleasant to sleep on.
The property was centrally located to many walkable locations. The room was small but expected and very comfortable. My only issue was the parking situation. No parking lot which meant you had to walk a block with your bags after traveling all day.
All in all I feel the hotel was prerry good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, while quite small, are very nice and comfortable. The main issue was the noise from H Street. We stayed there for 3 nights and the first evening I was woken up at 1:30am by someone screaming Mandarin into a megaphone lol. This went on for about 2 hours and then stopped. The following two nights no screaming but still a decent amount of noise. I live in NYC so the ambient noice didn't bother me much. The white noise machine next to the bed helped but if you're a light sleeper or just not used to noise at night I would suggest asking for a room not directly facing H street. The surrounding area was a little scruffy if you're not used to that but didn't feel unsafe. The Walgreens on the corner and restaurants close by were convienient. Would stay again.
