Fun Little Hotel for the Casual Traveler
Neat little hotel but staff not very friendly, curtains don’t quite cover windows to block out light and tv process is terrible. Bathroom sinks while cool looking are in no way functional when it comes to staging your toiletries.

The hotel itself had lots of character, service was great, and the room was clean, albeit a little small, but there were also some comfortable areas to sit around the hotel. I'd definitely come back on a future trip to DC

Basic Hotel Room.
Minimalist hotel room with two twin size beds and a small fridge. The room was bigger than I was anticipating. The room did not have a closet, but it had a rack to hang things and the water pressure was very low inside the shower and each bed only had one pillow. It was okay for a short stay since we were barely in the room, it was used for sleeping and showering. The location was great, close to shops and restaurants. The food was delicious at the rooftop restaurant Treehouse, but the services was very slow due to being short staffed on a Friday night.

It was cute. I'd come back for a cozy solo stay.
This was a cozy, one-night experience. It took the water a while to get warm for my first shower, and was a lot quicker my second and third. The hotel could also use directional signs on where the entry is for people with wheelchairs or rolling suitcases. I initially thought the bar was another business.

The hotel is a very nice hotel. Not your average standard hotel look. Loved our room. Loved the vibe of the hotel. Rooftop lounge has potential. Unfortunately they changed management within the last week and no longer had a DJ and wasn’t even letting people in at times even though there was plenty of tables. Told us it was a 25min wait for the bar ( no in was at the bar) and no one came in the 25min we were made to wait either. Poorly run at the roof top. Also the rest of the staff at the hospital had no idea that things changed. We were told by several employees different things regarding the rooftop. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was due to the rooftop. That part was very disappointing. But due to the ambience of the hotel we would stay here again. We had a king suite.

I enjoyed my stay but the mattresses were hard. It also would’ve been beneficial to have a microwave inside of the room. The water wasn’t as hot but it was okay

This was a nice little hotel in DC. There is easy walkable access to the metro. Many nice restaurants and cafes nearby. Our only complaint was there was a lot of noise over our room, I think they were setting up chairs in their restaurant, but it wasn't late at night so we were able to sleep well.

This is our second time staying at this property while in DC. Great location. Easy check in process. Staff is friendly. Roof top bar is an added plus. The rooms are somewhat small but still enough room for a weekend stay. Loved the family room type room. It has a king bed and two bunk beds. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Great place to stay!

I did not expect for my room to be in a basement. It was dark and musty smelling - a lot to accept for $200. My partner asked to be moved to an upper floor, which was accommodated at a cost I was not made privy to. The rooms are small and, while zshuzed, not very thoughtful in functionality. There’s really nowhere to sit - either you or your stuff. The bathroom is a giant sink with no place for toiletries. The showers are small and only two towels were provided. I appreciate what they’re going for, and like to try off brand hotels, but this one was a bit disappointing overall. Not bad, but more meh than I would have liked.

This review pertains strictly to the "Underground" room option. This room is not a good value for the money. You're essentially paying for the hotel ambiance. And you hardly even get to experience it because you're in the basement. This room would make more sense if advertised for a single traveler. While the bed can sleep two, two adults can not comfortably stay in the room for an extended stay. The toilet/shower is essentially in a closet (thin walls and door), while the sink to wash your hands is in the main area. The shower curtain is also a blackout curtain, and the shower stall has no overhead light. So, showering can be a little dark. If I had to stay here again, I would pony up the additional money for one of the larger rooms.

Missing important amenities that most hotels have such as a guest laundry facility/laundry service, and refrigerators in the rooms. Additionally the restaurant was almost never operational.
