I want to start by saying that I didn't do my research. I didn't realize that Reside was not a typical hotel--but more of an apartment building, I guess? Even with that caveat, it was not a good experience. The staff did their best, but it's clear that this property is not set up for the casual traveler. Upon first arrival, I couldn't get in the front door. So I stood on the sidewalk calling the number and trying a code that was sent to me. Nothing worked. Eventually someone came out and let me in. I was told I couldn't check in early without an extra fee. I have never heard of this and this was not communicated to me. It was 12:30pm and the hotel was dead. So i decided to go do some meetings and come back. I came back at 5 and my code still didn't work. I was let in and the check in process was quick. However the code to my room didn't work. Then they tried a new code. Then they gave me a new room. 20 minutes later I was in my room. Asked if there was an ice machine. I was told there would be an ice tray in the freezer in my room. There wasn't. I told front desk that there is a low battery alarm on a smoke detector in the hallway. They said maintenance doesn't come in until tomorrow morning. So I got to listen to that for 12 hrs. The room itself was fine & clean. The property is across from a dog kennel so I hope you like the sound of barking dogs. At check out they said they would send the receipt to my email. They did not. It took two calls the next day to get one

Sidewalks were blocked by cars and Ice. The main faucet was stuck between two modes and made a very loud sound when in use. The soap dispenser was empty in the bathroom. Since the internet was down I could not change the check-out time, and the front desk could not assist me. Aside from those minor issues, it was a beautiful location and a mostly pleasant stay.

Property was not so bad, very clean and well kept. The tenants, however, very loud. Seemed multiple parties were going on. We got an apartment on the end next to the staircase and it was still very loud. Upon entering the apartment, our door was opened. Very alarming, but the front desk said it must’ve been the housekeeper from earlier. There was dog hair EVERYWHERE! From the closets to the sofa bed. Please be aware. Not sure how much of a deep clean they do before the next person comes in. I won’t stay here again.

a nice apartment, not a hotel

Because this is not a hotel, the amenities are sparse. For example, a standard by-the-pot coffee maker was in the apartment, but not actually coffee (except decaf). The gym had only a couple of machines. The desk people, while friendly, could not help too much with services.

Our apartment was perfect. Only issue I had was getting into my apartment. I didn't realize you need to place all fingers in keypad for it to light up. Otherwise, fantastic place.

Super hard to get in front door in the dark. Not well lit and tried three times before I hit the right buttons. Had no idea where to find my room. They need to indicate that there are rooms in the basement .... room was not well kept up. Musty smell and old rilled up carpet trips you when going between bed and bathroom door.

The staff were very nice and tried to fix some of the problems for us, so I don’t blame them necessarily but my god this place was awful. Huge noisy parties first night, which staff did eventually deal with but had to call a few times and cost me a few hours of sleep. Pullout couch was filthy and broken (had to be propped up to sleep in). No sheets for it. Stained sheets on the bed. No signs showing where gym is. View from room was rats eating garbage from the Mexican restaurant outside. Didn’t provide wifi password and had to ask for it. Dead bugs on floor. And that’s just some of the issues. Just a comically bad place. Will never stay in a Placemakr again.

It was sometimes difficult getting into main building. Access code only to building your apartment is in. Ring not working, so sometimes I had to wait almost 30 min to get attention. I ordered food and they delivered to main building. Once I got staff attention she told me I was lucky she was still there, otherwise door locked. I thought there was 24hr front desk support. They did allow me to leave suitcases in lockers if main building before and after checkout.
