Private and secluded is what you’ll find here at On Mountain Time. Equipped with all the amenities you might look for in a much larger property, On Mountain Time provides the perfect space to get away from it all with a gorgeous big mountain view.

From the back covered deck, enjoy a cup of coffee from either the Keurig or a four-cup drip coffeemaker as you plan the day’s adventure, or take in cool mountain air in the evenings while you wait for dinner to cook on the gas grill. Pop into the hot tub at day’s end to relax and unwind after a big day of outdoor adventures, or maybe just shopping! At nightfall, sit outside by the firepit enjoying the company of friends and family while enjoying the view of the mountains in the distance and the peaceful sounds of nature all around you. You are free to live your best life here On Mountain Time!

This custom-built cabin features a large open floor plan living space with vaulted ceilings and stone gas fireplace surrounded by oversized reclining leather couches complete with a large flat screen TV. The adjacent modern well-appointed kitchen and dining area looks out to that stunning view. A king primary bedroom with its amazing mountain view plus bathroom en-suite and a second bedroom with double bed and additional full bathroom offer plenty of room for everyone. Central heat/AC, Blu-ray DVD player, Smart TVs in each bedroom available to log into your favorite streaming apps, T Mobile High-Speed Internet and Wi-Fi, ample lighting throughout the home, ceiling fans in each bedroom and stackable washer/dryer complete the package. On Mountain Time is a beautiful property that will give you the best in a full mountain experience.

There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. Just a few minutes’ drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area (known for being one of the first ski resorts in the US to open each year), Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (a historic motorcycle museum featured on the History Channel's “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 25 minutes, you could be in downtown Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This home is a less than a 30-minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and Harrah's Cherokee Casino (even if you do not gamble, Harrah's has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday). A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estate & Winery (America's largest and most visited privately-owned home), many great restaurants and micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops. Approximately, 1 hour away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas.

You are just under 1 hour 35 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (home of Dollywood).

Beautiful, Breathtaking, Safety
To no one's fault, my husband and I booked our first getaway in 2 years, the weekend of Hurricane Helene. While we unable to enjoy the hot tub due to the power outage, we did feel safe as we were required to shelter in place. Maggie Mountain Vacations offered us an early check in time due to the expected rain. The cabin was clean, beautiful, and relaxing. While the getaway was not quite what we had planned, we enjoyed our time looking at the mountains through the telescope, playing games, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.

Excellent cabin getaway
We loved almost everything about this cabin. It's semi-remoteness allowed ample privacy, yet was close enough to supplies, shopping, and areas of interest. The cabin has been well maintained and offers all creature comforts. We absolutely loved sitting out on the deck while taking in the views and listening to the sounds of nature. The hot tub was a bonus. Everything was clean and in good working order. One thing to note:The final approach going up to the cabin is on a narrow gravel road. There is a sharp approx 90 degree right turn onto a steep incline. This may be a little tricky for some drivers &/or some vehicles. Then, once at the top, there's very little room to turn around. jjcomforts

Great stay
We spent a winter holiday here with our kids. Be aware that the drive up is long and steep; we had a four-wheel drive. The kitchen has everything you can ask for. We had a quick issue with the fireplace that was resolved the next day. It is colder up on top of the mountain; we had some snow we didn't get at the bottom. The cabin is spacious and comfortable all around. I would definitely stay here again.
