I really wanted to like this place as the staff in the hotel was wonderful. The restaurant and bartenders were so nice too. The issue was I booked a king room with the jetted tub and paid almost $200 a night for what I would describe as an $80 room. There was not a dresser or luggage rack so my suitcase and cloths had to remain on the floor. There was a space where it seemed a couch or dresser should be but wasn’t. There was not a single decoration on the walls. It felt just like an empty dorm room echo and all. I love kids but they were everywhere running in the halls all hours of the night and overtook the pool area. The towel (yes towel) in our room was a lone pool towel. I had to go ask for more and was given another pool towel. For almost $200 a night I expected way more. If I had paid $80 I would have been fine. You just don’t get what you pay for here.

L’Hotel Universal de Québec, n’est vraiment plus ce qu’il était ! Je viens au moins une à deux fois par année et l’hôtel agonise d’année en année. Il faut arrêter l’hémorragie. Le service, les installations ont prit de sérieux coups au flanc. Même les serviettes à la piscine, faut attendre 30 mn pour voir une serviette propre! Ça me désole ! La piscine est froide, le spa est à 20 degré … y a t il un pilote dans l’hôtel ?

J’aime beaucoup cette hôtel car ont peut apporter notre nourriture et avoir beaucoup de plaisir en famille. Il manque du recyclage. Car j’ai du jeter mes bouteilles de vins vide et mes bouteilles d’eau. Cela m’a beaucoup déçu.

Is the first hotel where I have to request to the front desk to clean the room so I find it clean next day. The towels were very small and the smell of the chlorine of the swimming pool was super strong from the elevator and the hallway.

L'entrée de l'hôtel était ok je crois que c’était le seul endroit renové. Les corridors etaient sur le vieux tapis. Notre chambre maintenant : porte de la chambre de bain qui craque, le siege de toilette aussi. La poigne de douche etait sur le point de nous abandonné. Plancher de la chambre etait mou a certain endroit. Tapiserie dans la salle de bain qui décolle. Alarme dincendie a 5h30 le matin finalement pour rien. Tache de sans sous une couverture sous le lit. Table de nuit qui bouette. Ascenseur brisé. Spa brulant, il a fallu le condamné tellement il etait chaud.
