Good family trip, well located hotel

Was over for a wedding at nearby Dodford. Well located and more budget friendly. Despite this, amenities are great. Good pool and gym in separate building, nice lounge. Drinks on the expensive side, but food fair for the standard. Main reason for very favourable review was the staff, who were accommodating, friendly and wanting to please. Would return if in the area

Overall we had a great stay, however this is our third visit and we found our room was quite tired and needing repair in several places, our hair dryer almost caught fire and we were given misleading information about booking the restaurant. We will still return but this wasn’t the best stay we had had there

Well to begin we paid the same anount as our family and they got bigger rooms. Apparently the two superior rooms are different. Secondly i got served food at the restaurant 20 minutes after my family recieved their food. Thirdly I got over charged for my dinner and had to go back to get a refund. Lastly we opened our door to get some fresh air and huge dog appeared trying to get in. Lucky we managed to close the door as I was worried for my child’s life.

The decor now seems dated and tired. I had also paid extra for a king sized bed which the staff confirmed as the monies had been received. However, the room had not been saved and only doubles or a family room was available. The extra money I had paid was refunded but that’s not really the point, I did not get what I had reserved.

Good place to stay at a reasonable price.

Stayed for 2 nights to attend a family wedding at nearby venue. Rooms were comfortable enough for what we needed. Bed very comfortable and rooms were very clean. Had enjoyable swim in the pool and gym is well equipped. Beautiful golf course on site. Drinks reasonably priced although service was a bit slow at the bar. Didn't eat in the bar but food looked good. Buffet style breakfast was nice. Lots of choice available to eat while enjoying the view of the golf course. Hotel was what you would expect for the reasonable price we paid. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely touch with a birthday card and wine in the room. Excellent value with dinner, bed and breakfast inclusive with lots of options! Brucey bonus that we shared the hotel with the England women rugby team!
