I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Madison Resort Wildwood from August 16th to 18th, 2024. My birthday weekend was ruined by multiple service failures, falling far short of the expected standards for a resort.
At check-in, I was informed that my reserved cabana, booked a month in advance, had been double-booked. This was a significant inconvenience, especially since the cabana remained unoccupied all day. While I appreciate the offered refund, it doesn't make up for my disrupted birthday plans.
Additionally, there was a severe breach of privacy when a staff member entered our room without permission twice. The second time, at 9:47 PM, occurred despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, which was particularly distressing and unacceptable.
The room amenities were also lacking. The king-sized bed had standard pillows, the comforter was insufficiently thin, and the "ocean view" was obstructed by dunes. The floor was cold with bubbles, and no rug was provided.
The resort's atmosphere was quiet, and though the sister resort offered live entertainment; the advertised daily DJ was absent—only piped-in music played on one side of the pool.
Given the high cost of accommodations, I expected a much higher level of service and amenities. Unfortunately, my experience fell short. I hope Madison Resorts will take these issues seriously and make the necessary changes to prevent future occurrences.
