Great little visit to history. The rooms are decorated and equipped in the period of the hotel. These are olde bed frames with bed stands and chairs. really a neat experience I would recommend a stay to take in the history.

Property was clean, area was safe . Rooms do not have a refrigerator or temperature control. Each room has a fan . But the restaurant was good , price was good. Would stay again. All in all it was a average property.

An older hotel with beautiful wood work. Could use some cosmetic touch ups on walls and ceilings. Overall very clean with a pleasant staff. Elevator was staff controlled. No AC in room but there was a box fan. Bed was older, firmer mattress.

A charming hotel
We had a delightful stay at the General Denver. The front desk clerk and the elevator operator were kind, cheerful, and helpful -- and we loved the "oldest operating original elevator in Ohio." We also enjoyed the snacks available in the vending room, the celebratory activities going on in the restaurant, and the very convenient location, just around the corner from the beautifully refurbished Murphy Theatre with its special festivities. We were sorry not to be able to stay longer!

Check in person was not very friendly. Restaurant food was AMAZING, but short staffed so server was overwhelmed. Still did a great job and young hostess was amazing. Mid aged woman working front not so nice.

We loved our suite. Even though it has been up graded for the betterment of the guest it still has so many antiques and older surroundings that makes it aged to perfection. Will recommend to anyone heading that way.
