The property exceeded expectations. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the tavern on property. The pool was well taken care of. The room was clean and comfortable. This was a great place to stay as we explored Winnipeg.

Took my son and his friends for a little birthday party, they were so excited to use the pool and slide however the chlorine was so strong the kids were all coughing and felt sick, we spent half an hour at the pool, quite a let down. Then our room with the bunk beds was rather outdated, the tvs are old, drawers on the bunk beds were falling apart, the toilet hissed, the shower is stained yellow, and the theme rooms being next to the stairs meant we got no sleep! Doors were opening all night long, the walls are very thin, we heard EVERYTHING! Aside from the above mentioned, great staff, was clean, large rooms, buffet breakfast was good. The rooms just need some upgrading and something has to be adjusted with the pool temperature was very hot in the pool and in the area in general as well as the chemical situation. Used to be my favourite place to stay, starting to show its age though.

I was put on a different side of the hotel that I never stayed on. It was a different experience for me. I couldn’t sleep! There was people knocking on doors, doors opening and closing all night. Kids playing 3 in the morning. Seemed like there were long term guests that stayed on that side?

The check in experience was different. They didn’t like that I used my status card as a ID even though it came from the government of Canada. Then the front desk asked for another credit card other than my visa. My visa worked fine the last time I stayed here so o found it weird she was giving me a hard time about it. The last time I stayed, I had no issue using my status card and visa to pay/check in.. Maybe this hotel should make a rule to only use credit cards.
