About this property

Private Lake Glamping on 95 Acres, Rooftop Tent in Pristine Natural Setting

Welcome to Camp Rose Island! Sleep in the trees in this tucked away retreat! Enjoy a brand new Rooftop Tent w memory foam bed perched above a screened shelter with camp stove and dining area and large deck with sunset views. Next to a gentle waterfall, fall asleep to the soothing sounds of cascading natural springs.
The rooftop tent comfortably sleeps 2 adults + a small child, and the site has space for a tent and more guests!
You’ll have access to our private lake, a 10min walk down a gorgeous trail through the property.
This is 1 of only 4 sites across 95acres, a hidden gem.

If you've never heard of Cascadia Vehicle Tents - they're great! Typically installed on the roof of a vehicle, we decided to pop ours on top of a modern minimal structure designed for breezy off-grid living. The tent has all the things a normal tent has, only way better. Use the ladder to climb in and enjoy a comfy queen+sized bed underneath stargazing windows. The bed is like a queen size only longer - tons of space!

Under the tent is a screened-in kitchenette containing a camp stove (fuel included) and small dining area, and a beautiful deck. All newly built in 2023 and designed for simple low-impact vacationing.

A safe distance away you will find a fire pit with space for spreading out, playing with the dog, or even setting up another tent if you are a larger group.

Enjoy access to our private lake about a 10min stroll through the forest. By the lake you will find canoes, a hammock, and a 10x10 raft in the middle of the water. The lake is shared with other campers, though there are only 4 sites across the entire 95 acre property, in an endeavour to maintain the tranquility of the area and provide a relaxed atmosphere for our guests.

The campsite itself is located within the property away from municipal roads, off of a well used ATV trail, large enough to drive vehicles down (though we recommend 4WD vehicles, it's really up to your comfort level). This means that you have the option to drive in, or hike in from a parking area a few hundred metres from the site.
Just a short walk from the tent (but far enough for privacy) you'll find a brand new outhouse dedicated to the site.

This site is tucked right at the edge of the property next to undeveloped Crown land, so you will have complete and utter privacy!

The property you'll be enjoying is 95 acres of privately owned land with forests, marshlands, ponds, and meadows. We keep it natural around here, and there are typical hazards. By booking you assume all risk of harm or injury to persons and property.
We are 15 mins from the hamlet of Coe Hill, the town of Apsley, and only a few minutes from the OFSC trails and nearby many provincial parks!

Guests will have access to their entire site, the lake, a private outhouse, and the ATV trail on the property. A host will be available through the app at all times, and available in person for check-in, and during your stay if needed.
This is a rustic off-grid camping experience recommended for hearty outdoorsy types, there is no plumbing or electricity - just nature!

Make yourself comfortable in this accommodation, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchenette is outfitted with a stovetop.
This campground offers designated smoking areas.
Guests will find features like onsite parking.
