Lovely clean venue, slightly disappointed with the view from my window. The tv in the room was broken so we moved rooms and this also gave us a better view.
Nice one night stay. Hotel and room very clean. Good size room. Staff amazing and helpful willing to go extra mile with creating tailored vegan dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended.
Good property. Decent sized room and clean. Food was good. Easy parking available. Sea side not too far off. Service was excellent. Staff helpful and polite
The room was great, bed very comfy, bathroom had a good shower.
We had a meal in the restaurant and the service was slow. The food was generally agreed to be very good, one of the starters was small and not very hot.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to friends.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff were lovely as was the bar and dining room. Breakfast good too. In the room you could hear every word and cough from rooms next door. The mattress was not the best and the one side was so soft at the edge that you were prone to rolling off it so a poor nights sleep. A further problem was the fan in the bathroom, on a visiting during the early hours it remained on on long after the light was switched off. In the end we had to turn off the power in the room to stop it.
We stayed here for one night with our two boys. Thie place is real value for money. Very nicely located in an old period building the hotel is superbly comfortably. Specially the staff was very hospitable and kind. Excellent breakfast.
We stayed for 6 days over Easter. The hotel is surrounded by countryside and a few buildings nearby yet is close to Whitehaven. The views are lovely - out to sea and across to Scotland. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were always very friendly. We ate in the hotel most nights, enjoying the well-presented tasty food. My food intolerances were well taken care of. The Rosehill Theatre is not far away and we enjoyed our visit there. The garden is going to be landscaped so wasn't very inviting; the hotel is in process of refurbishment although we weren't inconvenienced by any ongoing work. We felt very relaxed staying there. It was convenient for days out walking and sightseeing.

Great food and service
Beautiful building. Room was very cold, shower was very not good, impossible to get the temperature correct, very hot then dry cold.
The food was fantastic and the team in the restaurant were equally as great, nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely view from the hotel and great country location.
