Beautifully renovated church in the heart of the Low Country

The Church House is truly a one of a kind spectacular place to stay. Built in the 1800’s this beautiful sanctuary of peace has everything you need to relax, unwind, and enjoy the Low Country. We have put all the modern conveniences of today into this 3 bedroom, 2 bath renovation while keeping and maintaining the beauty and the history of the space. Come and enjoy the kitchen with leathered granite counter tops, stainless steel refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, gas stove, and microwave while sitting at the kitchen island made from the old church pews and old beams from the floor joists we had to replace. Like we said, we are truly a one of a kind! Enjoy our comfy beds, sheets, and pillows, and spa like bathrooms. Take a good book outside to the fenced courtyard and get some outside air while you drink in this piece of Low Country history. The Church House is conveniently and centrally located. Just one mile off the 95 Freeway. You can even come by train! We are 1.5 miles from the historic Amtrak station. Approximately 20 minutes to MCAS Beaufort, 25 minutes to Downtown Beaufort, 45 minutes to Savannah Airport, 45 minutes to Bluffton/Hilton Head, and just a little over an hour to Charleston. The Church House is the perfect home base to explore all that the Low Country has to offer.

Beautiful Southern Gem
The Church House is a beautiful piece of history wonderfully restored and made into a cozy home and venue. Very well equipped and every detail of decor was so well thought out. We enjoyed the location and convenience to many surrounding areas and the wedding we had to attend a few miles away. We are so happy we stumbled across this unique place. Thank you for sharing with us!

Peaceful, beautiful and very well appointed!
We spent one week in the Church House. This is by far the nicest holiday/vacation rental we have stayed in. Well appointed. Linens, cookware and necessary items were all excellent! The feel of the church was present with original touches in the chapel/kitchen areas. We enjoyed sitting in the enclosed area outdoors in the evenings and relaxing by the firepit. The local Yemassee attractions were also great. Harold's Country Club (go!), Sheldon Church ruins, the local coffee-antique shop. Easy drive to Beaufort and Edisto Beach. We have a new appreciation for the "low country". Great hosts too!

Charming Church House
The Church House has been beautifully remodeled. It is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with modern comforts and loads of character. The beds are especially comfortable and luxurious. There was an unexpected problem with the air conditioner, but the owners responded quickly and sent someone to fix it. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others!

This property was outstanding. Comfortable beds, fluffy towels and spa like bedding/pillows were in abundance. Spacious fenced in courtyard our dog enjoyed with both sun and shade. Quiet neighborhood and plenty of acreage to walk our dog. Enjoyed the oversized shower. Right off of Interstate 95 and easy access to both Charleston and Savannah.

We loved The Church House! It is unique and beautiful. If you are looking for a peaceful place this is the perfect spot. Everything was clean and fresh, the beds were comfortable, and it was easy to communicate with the host. We enjoyed the Lowcountry Living Room for coffee and Fletcher's Finds for lunch.

Unique place to stay in the middle of the South Carolina Low Country
Great place for special occasions. We even extended our stayed. The owners were very accommodating. Yemassee is like a movie set. Guests should be encouraged to visit all the local haunts and speak with friendly neighbors and the fellow customers at the Dollar General.
