This is a very dated hotel that wreaks of cigarette smoke. I do not understand how it has the numerous positive reviews it does. I feel this hotel had the most deceiving score of any hotel I have ever booked. We had a non-smoking room. The room had no smoking signs in it, but ash trays too?!?! We watched a woman go into her room near ours smoking. The lobby, elevators, halls and rooms smelled like smoke. This is not a hotel for non-smokers!

Great location. Close to waterfront, not far from cruise ship terminal, a couple of blocks to Chinatown. Laundromat nearby. Room small. Although double room, only one chair. Very small fridge, no microwave. Extra fees apply for check out extension.

Lost in Yokohama
My stay in April was good. I only wish the concierge spoke English to be able to ask if there are any tours I can take in area. They were very helpful but communication was not possible. The only channels were Japanese and the wifi service for their free CNN was not functioning well. Cleanliness was great. Everyone was courteous. Very close to China town, restaurants and shops. Great view from my room overlooking the water and passing ships. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN.

We arrived on a rainy night. We took the limousine bus the the Grand and walked to the Star. The Star Hotel is close but the entry is on a side street. If you walk past McDonalds you have gone too far. Check in was quick. The room was small but sufficient. Bathroom was a good size with an excellent shower. We had breakfast is Eggs and Things which was ok. We were able to walk with our luggage to our ship

the property is old, I think this is one of the crowded hotels in Yokohama, probably because of that the dust and the properties are like has been used for so many times and not very clean. if you are allergic to dust or pollen this place is hell, just like I experienced. I need to take my medication during my stay.
