I was a little disappointed with Hotels.com. was trying to get a motel near Massillon. Good rates. I should have been directed more to Canton, not Akron. This Super 8 was on Massillon RD. The room was a little dirty.

This location is terrible. Upon arrival room was not ready, needed to be cleaned.. Inside room was terrible, wasn’t given big wash clothes and towels, said there was Internet available but could never connect. hot tub chlorine levels was too high to enjoy the hot tub. Our room keys were deactivated half way through the stay. Not allot of decent breakfast options. Just waffles, and cereal. Would not stay again.

No bugs. Sheets seem clean. Older property with very musty/urine oder. Lots of children. A little noisy. Took a while to check in. Lady at check in took care of the 2 gentleman in front of me and the one behind me before getting to me. The one man had an extensive issue with checking in. The gentleman behind me apologized to me for the lady assisting him before me. I asked to please have a quiet room and was given one in the middle of a large group of people with many children, talking loudly on their phones in the hallway while kids ran up/down. We had just arrived so i asked for my money back but we given another room. It was alittle quieter. I would not stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel in 2023 bc I go out to the HOF game every year. This year was a complete turn off. 1st the room smelled musty smell went to Walmart to kill the smell. Then as I was outside sitting another hotel guess came out with a pitt bull dog & it took a #2 in the grass and never cleaned it up. Then when I went back to my room there was another hotel guess with another Pitt bull dog as well this was growling & barking so much it woke up my grandson. It seems as though they except any type of dogs for $20 more per night. I like dogs don’t get me wrong put when u don’t clean up after them and the are growling & barking viciously than you shouldn’t have your dog in the public. And bc the hotel is own by foreigners they have very broken English & very hard to understand.

We got there and the pool was closed for maintenance. Wasn't told this when I booked. They said it was on website it's been closed for a month. We asked for a non smoking room. It was a smoking room it smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. Nothing was clean toilet was filthy bathtub had cigarette ashes and burns sink was filthy we had to clean them. Bedding the blankets had cigarette burns in them.

Disgusting experience!
I booked the hotel thinking it had a swimming pool and no animals. When I arrived, my room wasn’t ready, there was a $20 charge for dogs (which I don’t stay in hotels which allow pets) And oh wait….. the pool was “fresh out of water” as they were working on it. Then at the end of the night when I was going to bed, somebody was literally sanding the wall behind me and I had to call downstairs and ask them to make the person stop. I’m assuming it was a maintenance person. Moreover, I need to mention there were multiple Burn holes in the blankets. It was disgusting. Oh I almost failed to mention that the attendant had to take the (only rolling cart) for my luggage away from the homeless person who was was sitting inside the lobby (with her huge dog) and give it to me. And finally the icing on the cake…..when I went down for breakfast there were at least ten Hispanic men cleaning out (every bit of food) and loading up their bags as well. When I tried to get coffee.. I couldn’t as they were not allowing me to get near the counter. I have never felt so unsafe in my life. One of the workers was “hip-thrusting” a co- worker. They acted like a bunch of animals. I felt like a stranger in my country. What the hell is wrong with you people? The worker behind the desk was afraid of the men she told me so . Shame on you for advertising this hotel. I will never ever stay in another Super 8 again. This was a disgusting experience. There should be laws against renting rooms like this.

This was awful! Dirty and smelled! They had us booked in a smoking room and with our kids that wasnt an option. They ended up letting us take the emergency services room which was SUPER small and pretty sure it had a bullet hole through the bathroom door. We went and boughg blankets, pillows, fabreeze and a candle just to make it tollerable. Never took my shoes off cause I was scared to. Pool was EMPTY so couldn't swim. Had to clean the tub drain myself because it wouldn't drain. Smelled like weed all through the halls. Only good thing was the staff was great and helpful!

This hotel took a "$50" deposit I'm currently fighting them to get back!! They told me no rooms were ready to come back which was before check in time so I do get it but then he literally said If we had $20 he'd have a room!!!!! Didn't call housekeeping or anything so the room was ready the whole time! Then couple hours into our stay we keep hearing a vehicle right by the window of our room revving the engine up for a good 15-20 mins for no reason, only to anger another I'm assuming guest who then goes out and proceeds to argue and try to fight the man for being so loud causing an even louder scene!! Not only did not one single hotel staff intervene, which I don't blame them nowadays but they didn't even contact law enforcement or anything to resolve the issue!! The one thing I did like is I'm a smoker and they still have smoking rooms!!

Never Go Here!!!!
This was the worst place we have ever stayed in, we actually had to leave. After we checked in at 3pm we had been on the road since 5am that morning and had to go straight to a soccer tournament in which our son had two games that took the most of the morning. We just wanted to check in and get some rest. But to no avail, there was straight thud/thumping - thud/thumping -thud/thumping right above us for 3 hours straight so finally against my good morals I called down to let the managers know that it had been going on since we had arrived. After that it got worse, so I went down to the lobby to let them know it's been a half hour more and it's gotten even louder. So he called up again. I was confronted in the elevator by two people, so I made the decision to leave right away. They confronted me again and the manager on duty said their was nothing he could do and refused to give me a refund too. All we wanted was to get some rest seeing how we had to check out first thing the next day for more games, but it was not to be. We got out as fast as we could! Do not stay at the Super 8 in Akron, Ohio.
