About this property

Old Town with private garden: quiet, spacious, CLEAN!

My recently remodeled 800 sq ft casita is self-contained, cleaned to the highest standards, and feels very spacious. It has a 500 sq ft private garden in a quiet area far from the street which is shaded by a huge tree and has a lawn, water feature, covered wooden deck, and high adobe walls.

Facilities include off-street parking, full and equipped kitchen, dining room, sitting room with Smart TV, huge HE washer and dryer, several large walk-in closets with tons of storage space, newly remodeled bathroom with both bathtub and shower, and queen bed in the quiet bedroom that overlooks the private garden.

This street was voted “Best Street to Live” in Albuquerque's alternative weekly! Located right where Old Town and Downtown meet, this is one of the very few pedestrian-friendly areas in the city. Walk to cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, spas, shopping, parks, museums, grocery store, farmers' market, public transport, and more! You are also just a few minutes' drive from both I-40 and I-25, and 5-10 minutes from the airport.
There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as a water park or take in the view from a garden.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Great location!
Walkable to Old Town, downtown and convenient to lots of other activities. We loved that we could ride our bikes directly from the casita to the Paseo del Bosque Trail and get in a nice 20+ mile ride without having to drive to a trailhead. The place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Had a great time!

Most comfortable casita
Nicely furnished casita in historic neighborhood close to downtown ABQ; quiet streets with nice shops (espresso bar and foodie restaurants, etc.) a short walk away.

Cute, Quiet casita in Prime location
Loved Pip's place! Very quiet and private. Best part is proximity to a small grocery store, a coffeehouse and bakery. Full size washer and dryer is such a blessing in a rental. Oh and the cats are super cute too! Thanks Pip!

A Delightful Casita
Not only was Pip's property sparkling clean, it's charming and quiet. It has the best storage I've ever found in a rental. A full kitchen is rare in a rental in this area, as is a full-size washer-dryer. Pip is a professional and thoughtful host. If you're a walker, Old Town is only a few blocks away, as well as some museums. I loved the pizza at the Golden Crown Panaderia. If you're into crystals, don't miss Mama's Minerals. A coffee shop that I haven't visited yet is at the end of the street. If you have a disability, note that the steps between the two levels of the casita are uneven in height and have no handrail.

Charming Home and Neighborhood
Pip made check in very easy and the place was sparkling clean. We could walk easily to a local bakery, coffee shop, restaurant and grocery. The central location made local attractions easily accessible by car. A backyard with green grass made a lovely spot to relax in the evening. The nice quiet neighborhood made for good sleeping each night.

Wonderful Stay
My husband, daughter and I had a very enjoyable stay in Pip’s casita while in Albuquerque. Pip was a gracious host, whom we enjoyed meeting and talking with. The casita was very clean, comfortable and charmingly appointed. We took lovely walks through the neighborhood to Old Town and other nearby places. We loved our stay and would choose to stay again on future trips to Albuquerque.

Albuquerque, Apr, 2019
This unit is terrific and very quiet. We always felt secure and comfortable. And it is close to "Old Town" Albuquerque. We had off-street parking and our own patio to relax after a day of sightseeing. Pip had everything well supplied, we got our groceries and settled in for a week! No problem getting around in ABQ, we had a great time! We highly recommend her place!

Peaceful haven
This darling casita was the perfect haven for my husband and I while we were in Albuquerque for 5 days for a Richard Rohr conference at the convention center. It was an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to the convention center making it nice to be able to attend the meetings and then get away from the crowds at the end of the day. The location was also within walking distance of Old Town and the Rio Grande trail and convenient to the airport and the Petroglyphs. The unit was quite nice. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was up to date with fluffy towels. The complete unit was recently redone with beautiful hard wood floors. It has a complete kitchen, laundry and dining room. Pip provided detergent, paper towels, coffee, tea, olive oil and salt and pepper. So nice to have those basics. There is also a small grocery 2 -3 blocks away. A very nice tapas restaurant , although on the expensive side, The Cellar is across form the grocery. The Slate Cafe is also nearby and is a good neighborhood restaurant. There is also a Pizza Hut and Subway nearby. Pip was very helpful before and during our stay. A perfect retreat house for business or vacation travel!

Comfortable and well stock Casita
Situated 1/2 way between Downtown Albuquerque and Old Town Albuquerque, with both within walking distance, this little house was a great location for my 5 day stay in Albuquerque. The host was accommodating and I appreciated her willingness to accommodate my scheduling needs. The place was very clean, private and secure. I would recommend this to anyone and I'll consider it one of my best lodging options when I go back to Albquerque next time.
