We mostly enjoyed our stay here! Loved the decor of the "lobby"/restaurant. The patio was lovely as well. The food was pretty good, and most of the staff was friendly. It's not Harry Potter themed at all despite the name, wish they at least had some sort of butterbeer variation on their menu, that'd do well given Alnwick Castle being so close by! Speaking of which, the hotel is a bit of a jog from all the sights to see in Alnwick so prepare to walk a lot, use a car or use the hotel bus if its during tourist season. The immediate surrounding area of the hotel is not very charming (gas station, business parks, fast food, highway) so you won't be hanging around there very much. The young lady that initially greeted us was a bit gruff and not very friendly, but the gentleman later in the day was very friendly and helpful. There was no air conditioning (that we could find) in the room, but we were able to open the window and that helped a bit.
