This unique and exquisite property is centrally located to Amsterdam's major sites. It is extremely clean, beautifully appointed, the bed is extremely comfortable and the staff is welcoming, warm and professional. We love Amsterdam and loved staying here. We will return and stay at the Ambassade again.

This is not my first stay at Ambassade but it had been pre-Covid since my last visit. The place did not disappoint. The staff (Will and Sebastian, thank you) were wonderfully accommodating. My room, which did not face the canal, was huge and had a bank of windows that let in loads of light. Bedding and pillows made sleeping quite comfortable. Closeting and drawers galore. The bathroom was spacious, as well, with heated floors. Library bar is especially inviting and a must, even if it’s to simply sit with a cuppa or a cocktail.

I would rate this a 3 star hotel. There is certainly room for improvement. Noise transmission is a problem as the rooms do not seem to be acoustically isolated. We heard and felt very step of the person above us. Staff is friendly and courteous but lacking in experience. House staff was a little stingy relative to soap, shampoo, and water. Finally, don't think that you can check-in any earlier than the indicated check-in time (which for this hotel is 3:00 pm) - it ain't going to happen. We we're up for 24 hours with an international flight and arrived in the morning, looking to take a short nap. The staff indicated the room wasn't ready. We came back at 2:30 pm and room still wasn't ready. That said, Hotel is conveniently located within reasonable walking distance of Dam Square, Anne Frank House, and a metro stop. However for the $600 we paid for the room I don't think we would return again to this hotel.

Pretty hotel, staff was excellent, Anything you needed was provided … although my room was beautiful there are very different style rooms that some people may not like . The lobby isn’t big , the breakfast was a lot of money

This is a lovely property with an amazing setup for rooms. Lots of characters but modern and luxurious. My room had a tiny balcony which helped me sit and watch the canal with wine. Staff was helpful at every point

Excellent hotel. Exceptionally helpful, friendly, & kind staff (thank you Lorraine). Location great, as walkable to majority of sites. Room was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was spotty but we had our own hotspot. Highly recommend this lovely hotel for its charm, location, staff and cleanliness.

This is a unique and beautiful hotel that features special qualities associated with a luxury global accommodation experience. The staff was kind, thoughtful, attentive, and thorough. The intimate dining room has multiple nooks and is a peaceful and enjoyable place to take in the view of the canal. We loved our stay. We hope we can return again!
