My stay at the Avenue Hotel
My stay was generally good. Hotel location is perfect which makes it easy to navigate the city with the Central Station very close by. Hotel service was ok. Cooked breakfast wasn't that tasty but alternatives were made available.

Very good for the price, central location only a 5 min walk from the train station with a tram stop sight outside the hotel. However the walls are very thin and you can hear everything from the people next to you & in the corridor. Also house cleaning seemed in a rush to get us to check out even letting themself into our room twice to ask if we were checking out even though it was still before our check out time, rest of the staff are very nice and helpful.

Do not recommend. Hotel is expensive for the quailty and service. Charge for everything, including an iron. Breakfast was basic and poor quailty, i had it included with my room and i only went the first morning. Cleaning wasn't done correctly on the second day, took them 40 minutes to come and clean. Third day, cleaning wasnt done by 3pm. We'd given up asking by this point so it never actually got cleaned. I could go on with more problems but Ill wrap this up by saying.....Overall our stay was stressful.

Small Rooms - Not Clean
Perfect location but room was very small, the room dimensions are terrible as the walls are not symmetric, bathroom door couldn't be completely opened because the toilet seat is directly behind it so you could enter the toilet with a body angle. We asked for a 2 single bed room, but we found that both beds sides are not clean It looks like a previos guest dropped a drink on the beds and it wasn't clean. We reported the problem to change the room, they said that we should checkout before 11 am and re-check in at 3 pm!! As if it was our mistake or problem! Then they said they will clean it, we went out and returned to hotel after about 4 hours, and they didn't clean it! Then we reported it again and they let us wait in reception for about 40 minutes until they clean!!

Hotel is ok and room was a good size but needs better cleaning. Bathroom had mold and the door did not close properly so water went everywhere. They need to replace the bedsheets as they were old and had rips. Towels were very old and frayed. My room had no fridge which is strange. I would not recommend this hotel.
