Very bad and the manager and the staff was completely rude. They don't know how to speak to a customer. Also when we enter the hotel it was so dirty. Never come back again and everything was far away from the hotel as well. I would recommend never go here.

Staff was very nice, but the Expedia description of this property was not even close. It says there’s a bar, in reality there’s a mini fridge with a selection of beer and wine. Expedia says they have laundry services, but they do not. We knew location and dining in this area would not be convenient so that’s on us. Air conditioning did not work. It was muggy and stuffy in the room the entire time. Windows didn’t open enough for fresh air to move around. The pictures make it look great, but it seems to be a very old hotel needing remodeling badly.

Second time returning. Top service.
This is our second time returning to new west inn, we’d previously visited earlier in the year and was satisfied with our trip. Despite the location from the centre & the fact that one of us couldn’t walk very well at the time… it didn’t bother us that it was 20 minutes from the centre. We bought day passes for the trams (use GetYourGuide) Hoeknes stop is closest to the hotel, it’s very easy to use Amsterdam transport. There is an Aldi round the corner. I also highly recommend trying jacks and waffles which is also located next to Aldi!! I’d recommend this hotel. & I will most likely be returning for a third time! We had a relaxing couple of days in Amsterdam. Thank you.

I initially thought that our UBER driver made a mistake since there were ppl swarmed at the door smoking weed. Once inside we were greeted by the most unfriendly front desk staff and then given our hotel keys. The water from the bathroom was slimy with algae and the bed had a dingy throw at the foot with very used pillows. Overall I would not recommend.

Okay stay, if you’re visiting Amsterdam I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. €50 fee for staying after “prepaying”. Also hotel says it has laundry, they do not but can get someone to do your laundry for €25. Very loud, engines revving in parking lot at night, police and ambulance sirens through the night, kids playing in morning. Bike rental at hotel is €17.50, local bikeshare is €10. Wouldn’t come back!

Wont recommend. Needs major renovation.
Ladies at front desk were wonderful! That being said, the hotel was old and needed major renovation. First, no air conditioner. They used an air ventilation system to move air around, but it was broken going to our room. Very warm and stuffy Gave us an oscillating fan to use. Opened the window to get some fresh air in, but no screen. Mosquitos were terrible. I have many bites, but a huge one on my elbow that won’t stop itching. Was cool in breakfast area. Breakfast, for the price, was lacking. Phone in room didn’t work. Technician had already left for the day. Shower leaked under glass barrier causing water under sink. Location was close to public transportation. I’m very disappointed with the value of the hotel compared to the price we paid. Would not recommend this hotel.
