Very good, clean hotel. Good value for money. Room could have been slightly smarter, a couple of stains on the sofa and loose wires behind/below the TV. TV didn’t work well. Otherwise very good. The staff are all incredibly nice and very helpful.

Nice and comfortable room with a half obstructed view of a building across. Close to ferry and train station with many attractions in a walkable distance. Thermostat in the room was not working properly and it seemed the A/C was not controllable. Breakfast was overpriced for options offered and caused food poisoning on the first day so would skip in favor of Bagels & Beans across the street or any local bakery.

Great Home Base
We had a lovely 4 night stay at Alma recently and was very pleased with our decision. We loved that the hotel was very well located to the Central Train station ( 10 min. Walk), Grand Place, many shops and restaurants yet on a very quiet street. Ava was so welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. She was a joy to meet. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious with an enjoyable view! We had a nice breakfast daily. Not fancy but plenty of choices. We highly recommend Alma to anyone traveling to Brussels. It was a great home base for us and convenient to Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp for day trips. Also a good value and deserves a higher rating.

A lovely hotel in an interesting area not far from the city, easily walkable. Staff were very friendly, some fabulous design features, big rooms, breakfast was fantastic. We’d have loved a drink in the bar as it looked inviting, but there were never any other people in it, so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Will definitely stay here again when we re-visit Amsterdam.

A sofa is not a sofa bed.
The sofa bed was a sofa. They made a bed on a sofa. It was hard and impossible to sleep in the sofa. We chose a room for 3 with a queen bed and a sofa bed, but it was a queen bed with a sofa. It was very inconvenient. Room 814.

Room was roomy and clean but gave us a room with a disabled bathroom and when using shower made it very wet and slippy also not the nicest bathroom. Also not all toiletries replemished, had no conditioner in container whole stay.

Lovely room. Nice windows. lots of space for me and my 2 adult daughters. Elevator and stairs not very convenient. Stairs don’t go right to lobby. Elevator only. Went to take stairs out but emergency only. About a 10 minute walk to Amsterdam Central station. Old city on the far side of the station. Staff was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel.
