Island in the Sun is located just one block south of Pine Ave and just a few flip flop steps away from the City Pier Bay Beach and the popular restaurant - The Waterfront. The City Pier Bay Beach offers narrow white sand beaches, amazing views of the newly constructed City Pier, the Skyway Bridge and the boats traveling back and forth in Anna Maria Sound.


Island in the Sun is an elevated home where you will find ease and relaxation the moment you arrive ... there is a shaded charming front porch waiting to welcome you! Leave your car parked (4 spots provided), the City of Anna Maria is very walkable, and our island’s free trolley is only a few steps away on Pine Ave. Island in the Sun offers all the goodies to make sure your vacation doesn't skip a beat. The 2 en suite bedrooms and 2.5 baths make for easy living. This island home is elegantly designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Take a dip in the heated pool, light the gas grill for a barbecue and spend your evening relaxing on the front porch or back deck that overlooks the beautiful lagoon style pool. You will enjoy all the outdoor space and privacy. As always, we make sure you have the ability to stay connected on our free high-speed wireless internet! Kick back and relax, turn on one of the Flat screen TV’s and catch that flick you always wanted to see or that must-see sports game.

Some of the artwork in the house is painted by the owner. Mostly watercolor, these pieces add to the beachy, relaxing vibe of the place. They’re done in fun colors and reflect the energy of the island. You can buy prints directly from him — see info in the guest book.

*Dogs are welcome, A $250+Tax Pet fee is required per pet, This is a separate fee paid directly to Salty Mermaid Real Estate after booking. Pets that are not disclosed to our office will result in additional cleaning charges to your reservation.

*This home has a 4 night minumum stay requirement*

*Reservations that are 30 nights or longer will require a mid-stay clean, one of our rental agents will provide more information at the time of booking.

*Please note this is not a party or large gathering house. Noise complaints will result in eviction*

*Please note, all guests occupying this property who are under the age of 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Thank you! *

*Check in time is 4pm on the day of your arrival, Check out time is 10am on the day of your departure. No early access or late departure is allowed unless special arrangements are made with our office, Our cleaning and Inspection team need time to ensure the rental is clean and safe for your stay*

*A starter kit of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, coffee & tea, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided at check-in. Also available if requested, while supplies last, is a toothbrush and sewing kit. Any additional items that you may need during your stay can be purchased at one of the local grocery stores.*

*No more than 4 Vehicles parked at the home, You may park in driveway or under the house, do not park in street or on sidewalk you will get a ticket*

*Pools are heated from approximately Thanksgiving to Easter only and are set no higher than 80 degrees. Spa temperatures default to the pool temperature when not in use and are able to reach 100 Degrees under normal weather circumstances. During colder weather, we cannot guarantee that the pool/spa can be maintained to that degree. No refunds, credits or discounts will be offered if the pool/spa temperature cannot be maintained due to unusually cold weather*

*Please be advised that our rental property, Island in the Sun, is equipped with a camera facing the driveway, a camera in the downstair area facing the house, a camera in the backyard area facing the back of the house and a Ring doorbell camera on the front door. These devices are in place for security purposes and to ensure the safety of our guests and property. Your privacy is important to us, and these cameras are not intended to monitor your personal activities within the rental.
