If you come expecting to be disappointed you will have your wish granted.
Extremely basic place. No food available on 7pm arrival, have to pre-order - wish we had been told! No kettle or ability to have hot drink. Rickety old small double bed with 'U' shaped mattress, It was also real fun to listen to upstair's guests and their 3 year old running around and chatting/singing at 11pm. Breakfast started at 8-30am - new meaning to 'up with the larks'and our first chance of a hot drink - was an interesting revelation, not surprising that locals are skinny!
Gorgeous old house and beautifully decorated, however the positives end there. Arrived after 7pm tired, thirsty and hungry but were told we were not able to have dinner at the hotel restaurant as we did not prebook it (had we known, we would have). We were only offered tap water from the bathroom sink, or to buy a bottle of their wine, and though the owner claimed in such a small town nothing was open that late on a Sunday, we were delighted to find a cafe less than a kilometre from the hotel with lovely regional food and friendly locals. Back to the hotel: the ceiling beams in the room need dusting of spider webs and the moldy shower curtain needs changing. There is no ventilation in the room even with windows open - which invites an army of flies into your room. Why not provide a fan? No soundproofing so be prepared to hear your neighbours. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. I would be embarrassed to serve it to my customers. A few slices of cheese and ham were offered to share between 5 or 6 tables, and tostadas made from stale bread were brought to our table. There was fresh orange juice and coffee though, and fruit/yogurt/cereal etc. so we didn't starve but expected so much more from such a highly rated hotel. Would NOT go back.
No aircon so they kindly changed our room to one with a balcony as skylight would not open properly. House is beautiful and so is the setting, breakfast cereal options are coco pops corn flakes or biscuits, slightly limited.
We spent a very enjoyable three days in this lovely house as we toured this lovely region. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxed - just like a home from home.
I can not say enough about this charming b & b. the owner and inn keeper was super sweet although he didn't speak much english. The hotel was off the beatin path but well worth the trip. The house and grounds had so much character that I couldn't leave. He also cooks dinner and breakfast. I really wish I would have stayed for dinner (other guest said was amazing) but the breakfast was very nice. The value was exceptional. The rooms very nice, large, great character but all the modern expectations (no television but please too many other less stressful things to look at). Super comfortable bed. The back yard and other seating areas out back were so nice, peaceful and relaxing.
This hotel retains all it's antique rustic authenticity from floor boards to window shutters. Situated in a pass through the Pyrenees the surrounding scenery was breath-taking. The dinner - a five course mystery tour - was exceptional. All in all a most wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
The hotel is nice and quiet and it has been tastefully furnished. It is very good value for money. The hosts are very nice and are always around to help with anything you may need. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.
The host is a wonderful man, sweet as pie. The view, the roosters crowing, the breakfast are all superb. Though it's a 30 mn drive from Bilbao it's a super getaway.
The hotel is in a lovely little village. We stayed to travel to Pamplona for San Fermin as all hotels there were fully booked. It is close to the main road, so perfect for travelling around
Having read previous reviews, we knew that the owner spoke almost no English. Despite this, we managed to communicate quite well. The house is extremely charming and rustic, with heaps of character. There's a lovely garden to sit in, and you can buy local wines for very very reasonable prices. The room was very comfortable and very charming. A basic breakfast is provided in the morning, where we drank the best orange juice either of us have ever tasted!
Una zona paradisiaca enclavada en la naturaleza. Lugar perfecto para relajarse

Disliked: Room comfort
Prestation acceptable.
