This property is a Rydges in name only. It is an old converted motel. We stayed in the ‘executive suite’, which was dark, had the decor of a funeral parlour from the 1980s, and had a terrible odour of decades of stale cigarettes. When the room next door used their shower, there was the loudest noise, which, when I phoned reception about it, was informed that it was “the pipes” and the attitude I received was pretty much ‘what do you want me to do about it- just put up with it’. The cost of 3 nights was almost $900, which is completely outrageous for the state of the property/room/amenities/facilities. An overall terrible experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Not the Rydhes you expect
This place is a Motel not a Hotel which is a little misleading. It was great they offered 2 bedroom accomodation but the room and furniture was very dated and not what I would expect from a rydhes. The main TV had recently been installed but had a dodgy cable causing it to not work, they did try to fix this for us but really couldn't do much. The shower was something else! Calcium dripping off the rain shower, pipes so hot you could burn yourself (would be worried if kids stayed there in the 'family' unit). Most fixtures either grimy, broken or missing really. We managed but glad we were only there one night and quite disappointed with the price, for this quality I would expect a lower price, more in line with dated motels.

Hotel was very close to shopping centre. Parking at the site was excellent. The room was very dark as lighting was poor and the bed needed to be replaced as it sagged in the middle
