Our room shower broke the first evening, they promised to change the room the next day, however, in the morning (after we mentioned at the reception that we finally wanted to take a shower), they opted for a reparation. They even asked us to unscrew the shower cable. Once substituted, the water couldn't be closed anymore. We just had to let the water run (for hours?) until someone repaired it.
No big excuses, nor a gesture for the uncomfortable situation.
At the time of check out, they wanted to charge us twice as much for the room (for no apparent reason). When we carefully checked the bill, the girl at the reception "noticed the mistake" and changed the bill.
We had the feeling they "tried" to trick us, having also the dinner charged on the bill.
