While the staff were friendly I feel like the hotel is not suitable for people with toddlers. I had to put my milk and baby food in their fridge which seemed alien to them. The room smelled musky and old there was damage to the ceiling which was very visible and to the bathroom. It’s an old place that needs updating but quiet suitable for adults that don’t mind because the surrounding area as so nice. One thing I did not appreciate it’s that we booked breakfast at 9:15 with a toddler and by 9:45 they started closing the buffet down and even informed us of this as well. We had to ask them for standard things because it had not been topped up. No air conditioning so if this is important to you, this is not the place for you. The bed was spring and I could feel the springs so didn’t sleep well either.

Lovely spot just outside Bath. Picturesque garden and views. Beautiful sandstone building with lots of character. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel in a lovely setting
What a lovely hotel, tucked away in a little valley. Large hotel but honestly didn't hear any other guest after 10pm and that was 2 nights of wedding partys! Hotel was slighly run down in areas but actually added the feel in a way. The large community areas like bar and gardens were very well looked after. The staff were all fantastic too, they really made the hotel shine

Well deserved night away
Having a disabled person at home, it’s sometimes needed to stay away when we can. We need to catch up on some well deserved sleep. Although the pillows were a little firm, there was sleep to have in the afternoon and night time. The room was huge and very clean and tidy. The views from the windows were spectacular. Evening meal was lovely with plenty of choice, even for my husband with his food allergies. Struggled getting a parking space as there was a wedding. All in all a lovely location and spotless hotel.

Lovely spot with friendly staff. The toiletries and food were basic. "Card-board" cheap sliced bread, coffee in a dispensing flask, plenty of hot food... but is a vat of stewing scrambled egg appetising? Not for me, disappointing for the price.
