Disliked: Amenities
Room 22 on the second floor was like a room in the attic. We bumped our heads many times as the sides are slanted. The lights and ventilation fan were controlled by the same switch and the sound was annoyingly loud.
This motel was so cute and safe. I was a little nervous that our room (3 beds) was the only room with French doors (with windows) not typically the door you want facing outwards. But everyone at the more were wonderful and made our stay enjoyable.

Very nice hospitality. Very clean for such a busy mountain climbing clientele.
This place is small. If you stay for a long period of time. Be sure to buy food and supplies before entering Ashford. This is a literal bunkhouse. I brought a cooler for drinks and food. There cafe has some food and there is a diner near by. Dated facility because its a bunkhouse but this is what i was looking for and I only say this because some other people might expect more. Overall I enjoyed this place and would have stayed longer if my plans didn't change.
For climbers its perfect as a base camp. Its just a little tired and could use an updatimg. The staff are excellent. I would not hesitate to book again.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The advertisement for the room made it seem like it had more “charm.” When we asked if they had any board games to borrow (as I have seen at similar properties) the girl at the desk directed us to coloring pages they had. Ended up buying a deck of cards at the mountaineering store. The wifi was terrible/nonfunctional and no cell service there for us.
Historical building with veranda and rustic feel. Spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. On site cafe and bar/grill next door. Close to Paradise entrance of Mt Rainer.
The location was great. I guess not having a coffee maker made some of my stay not great. Part of this was due to the park's Time Entry system which was not your problem.
Pros: 15 min drive to Paradise Corridor entrance, very helpful and cheery staff
Cons: Small room furnished only with 2 twin beds, luggage rack and night table. A bit cramped and worn.
