Chateau Aspen 16 is a remodeled two bedroom, two bath condominium that has been upgraded with a beautiful color palette, materials, and furnishings. It has a full kitchen, a breakfast bar and separate dining area, a gas fireplace, flat screen TVs in both bedrooms and the living room, wireless internet, a washer and dryer, and off-street parking. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has two twins that can be made into a king upon request. Chateau Aspen is in the center of the downtown core and just one block from the Aspen Mountain gondola, and Aspen's world class shopping, dining, and skiing are all right outside the door. The building's common courtyard has a gas grill and fire pit and offers a nice place to gather outside. Great Location!
Very central in Downtown Aspen. Close to everything!(supermarket, pharmacy, ski rental, restaurants, shopping, bus station, Aspen ski gondola.....) The condo unit is well furnished and very clean! The only things you need to get is the food and drinks. Perfect for family of 4!. The unit is at the 3rd floor towards the back corner of the building, away from the front of the street. Across the back alley where the unit is situated, it's close to the rooftop bar/lounge which can be noisy especially on weekend nights. No elevator in the building so it takes time and effort to hoist up the luggage and ski staff. This may be a chore if you have young children or baby.

The space was good and very convenient to everything in downtown Aspen. Everything was great - the in-room air conditioning units were effective, but are quite noisy. Just be prepared. It is a very good location -

Location! Location! Location!
Can’t beat this location when visiting Aspen. Although an older building, the accommodations had modern conveniences. Beds were the best we had over our two week trip out west. Can walk to anything in town and hikes are a short drive away. Host is figuring things out with new self check in process. Communication prior to arrival was non-existent with me having to ask for address day before arriving. I’m sure the kinks will be worked out with time. It’s worth considering if you’re going to Aspen.

The location is fantastic, the management company were super easy to deal with. Main bedroom mattress was very "firm" and quite uncomfortable. Property is kind of dated but we had a great time and cant beat the location.

Wonderful property and location
We stayed here for a long weekend and could not have been happier with the entire experience. The unit was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the location was unbeatable. We were within walking distance to all of downtown Aspen. Check in after hours (which can be tricky) was straightforward and I even receieved an email the following day thanking me for submitting my forms and checking to see if I needed anything else. I thought the extra level of customer service was quite impressive. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great location but that's about it :-/
The apartment is lovely and it's in a prime location. It's decorated nicely, you have a full kitchen and the heat works great (needed it during the cold!). The pullout couch was actually more comfortable than the beds. However, a few things prevented this experience from being a great one: 1) There's an emergency number you can call when you arrive, if arriving after normal working hours. The management company is supposed to get back to you within 15 minutes after you leave a message. A parking space was not mentioned in this listing, so I called the after-hours number after circling the neighborhood many times late at night. My call was never returned, not even days into my stay. Thankfully I found a parking pass inside the unit and figured it out -- but why have an after-hours line if no one will answer it? Why not include parking information in the check-in pamphlet? 2) One of the beds had dirty sheets when we arrived. Not sure how that happened... Thankfully there's a washer & dryer in the unit. 3) The drain in one of the bathroom showers did not work -- it kept a pool of water. We all had to use one shower. Do we regret staying there? Absoutely not, but there are a few things that can be fixed for future visitors.

great location and clean condo
We (myself and my 21 yr old daughter) spent 4 nights in Aspen. The condo is in a great location and it was easy to run back to if we wanted to rest or grab something. We arrived on a rather hot and humid day to realize that there was no air conditioning in the complex. There were several fans in the unit but it was still warm. One other thing is it was quite dark especially in the kitchen. The track lighting just isn't enough.

I didn’t like the fact that there was absolutely no view. Every window faces an alley so you can’t even tell what the weather is like. Also super loud trucks in alley a lot of the evening makes it hard to sleep!!

Outstanding location and service
There's easy access to all the units in this building, located right in the mix of Aspen. The service provided was above and beyond. We really appreciated the special attention for us last minute visitors. The rooms are comfortable and the condo is well stocked with extras. Loved the entry way with rubber floors so we could dry out equipment indoors overnight. FYI, the terrain park at Snowmass is a new favorite of my teens.

Great location! Very uncomfortable Master bed.
The location is awesome. You can walk to the store, lifts and many shops and restaurants. Accommodation's a little skimpy but okay if your just sleeping, skiing and eating. The Master bed is as hard as sleeping on a board. I would not have made it past the first night if my husband had not driven down valley to Walmart and bought a 4" foam mattress topper. We left it there for future guests!

Great location, close to everything and yet still quiet and restful at night
We enjoyed our time there and appreciated how friendly and helpful Claire from McCartney was. We would have liked a little more natural light during the day, but it was great for sleeping. We made a big dinner for friends, and could have used a couple more missing bowls. All in all, it was great.
