This was a histel not a hotel and super outdated. The furnishings were run down and constantly finding stains such as footprints on bed sheets. While the the staff was friendly and lication decent its not worth the price.

Good central hotel, modernised, nice bed and bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent for central Athens and everything within walking distance, including the Plaka, Acropolis and airport bus plus metro. There was no bottled water provided, nor tea, coffee etc, nor shampoo etc, though there was shower wash (very good shower), otherwise, rating would have been higher.

This hotel room definitely did not look like it did online !!! The room was very small, shabby and the bathroom was absolutely tiny. Breakfast on the terrace definitely not as per the photos. Very small choice and poor quality While the location is good and the staff were friendly this hotel needs a re-vamp and the photo's should reflect reality.

Amazing locations with an even better view from the roof top terrace of the Acropolis! The only thing that left the hotel down was the tiny bathroom and even smaller shower space but other than this, we were delighted with this hotel stay

The staff were very friendly and the location is good. The room was really, really small and cramped. Had to put the suitcases on the bed in order to open them. The church across the street started ringing their bells, every hour and started very early in the morning.

This hotel requires an update and the rooms are tiny even for a European city, which was particularly challenging in the shower with kids since it sprayed all over. That said, the staff was super nice and helpful and the location is right in the center of everything. Keep in mind that it can be loud late in the room because of that.

Excellente location that was a catch!staff was really friendly and nice and very helpful.The view from the hotel is stunning and from my room I was seeing acropolis.It is fronting plaka so everything is so close and walkable.i really enjoyed my stay at metropolis and will go back again if I come back to Athens!

great location and staff was nice. not a good place for those who cannot do stairs. 10 step up to the elevator. Staff put luggage on the side with a rail which makes no sense. Rooms were tiny but doable. Shower was a joke. 2 feet by 2 feet. some rooms have a view of the acropolis which is great. Not too noisy at night. walk to lots in Plaka and Parthenon. Breakfast was not great. We went out.

Convenient location, but needs work on cleanliness
The rooftop breakfast was nice, and staff are friendly. My room was a bit small and outdated, but that didn't bother me much. But the sheets and pillows are stained, and that really needs to be addressed. Even the spare bedsheets in the closet were stained.

The hotel has a great location - very close to the shopping area of Plaka with many delicious restaurants nearby. Our room was cool and quiet which was all that we needed, but there are no frills. Expect a small shower and tight elevator like most other places in Greece. Our concierge was wonderful and gave recommendations for things to do in the area.
