Found methamphetamine drug paraphernalia in the house the morning we checked out. The host argued with us about what it actually was... drug paraphernalia.... She claimed it was a "straw"... She was not wrong about the object, just about the use. Burnt straws with drug residue only mean one thing... drug use. Thank God we found it and not one of the kids. Overwhelming intense marijuana odor was embedded into everything. We sat in the dining chair with the baby and the chair legs almost fell out from under me. Was not warned that all but one of the dining chairs were broken. Sofa upstairs is broken with the arm separated from the body of the frame. Towels had stains.
Host made excuses and even lied to the hosting site, falsely claiming that she offered to move us into one of her "other properties" but that never happened. Host tried manipulating the fact that we had extended from one day to two to discredit our experience, although that extension was done prior to checking in while we were still one state away (driving) from the location. Women's underwear was left near the dresser. No extra sets of linen were stored in the linen closet. It would be impossible to wash all bedding and linens which are already in each room between check in and check out. We do not believe that the bedding had been cleaned before we arrived. I'm typically very understanding and easy to deal with, however host's level of accountability is unacceptable. Do not stay. Wouldn't recommend
