I never went to the property. I had a personal family emergency which intervened. Obviously family comes first. I canceled my stay online with Expedia one day before check in. I was charged for the full weekend stay when I never even checked in. Ok I get a so sad too bad policy, but after I canceled I continued to get emails from both Expedia and Grand Hyatt telling to prepare for my trip. I found this rather, shall I say annoying. After several of these I finally called Grand Hyatt and after several attempts and transfers got a human who canceled the reservation on their end. Despite being canceled online with Expedia and directly at the hotel I continued to receive emails from both including this rate your stay one. If I cancel a stay there is a good reason. Please to not continue to inundate me with robo-messages. Clearly the computers systems within Expedia and between Expedia and the Grand Hyatt do not talk to each other. As it relates to a refund for the non-stay Expedia in emails pointed the finger at Grand Hyatt and Grand Hyatt pointed the the finger at Expedia for “refusing to approve” a refund. Ok keep my money, I can afford it, but I have a choice in travel services and hotels. Neither will include Expedia or Hyatt Hotels in the future. I will also discourage others from the same as much as I can. As far as this experience goes it suggests to me that neither of these companies could find their collective backsides using both annoying hands.
Will definitely come back! Room was very comfortable, clean, and modern! Smart TV with casting capabilities, USN-C charging ports on nightstands with multiple standard plug-in as well. Excellent lighting/ambiance and a very comfortable bed.
The only downside to this property is parking. In addition, there are renovations going on but it does not impede Check-in or appearance. Great stay!
Overall, the Grand Hyatt was a great experience. The room was newly renovated and a perfect fit for our needs. The staff were courteous. The location is great. My only recommendation is that the hotel offers a number you can text for requests, but we never got a response to our request so they should make that work better.
The hotel was under major construction, wherein much of the amenities we were hoping to get at a Grand Hyatt were nonexistent. Due to this, and not being transparent about the construction at the time of booking the hotel nor prior to my arrival, I felt that the cost of the hotel for the amenities provided was way way way over priced. During the construction the rates should have been significantly reduced. But they weren't we paid market rate and the person checking us in said the rates were not discounted at all due to construction. I definitely felt the value was not there at all, would probably not come back to this hotel even after construction is done my experience was so disappointing.
Even with the renovation project underway....Grand Hyatt did not disappoint! Our stays are always nice. Room service was prompt, hot and delicious. Housekeeping repsonsive and other staff ready to assist in the oddest request. Ill keep it vague. LOL. But the effort to help me as guest meet a need is greatly appreciated.

"Meh" for the money. Room was ok, very clean, comfy beds. Property is under construction, beige, charmless. There is a waterfall feature that is nice. Overall "meh".
