Property located within the walls of Avilia. Researched first on their website, http://www.hostaldondiego.es/en/don_diego_hostel. Parking under the hotel and rooms air conditioned. Booked site and sent email requesting parking. On arrival noted no catering for disability. No one at reception so had to ring external doorbell. After a while a male let us in. WARNING do not arrive in the afternoon when he is on siesta, grumpy does not cover it. No parking had been reserved and when asked where I could park, a shrug of the shoulders and pointed to the streets on the map. Although he knew no English he gave no indication that the meter charge for on street parking was for max of 2 hours. Ended up in expensive local car park.
Stairs up to the room, no lift. There was a communal kitchen, but the fridge/freezer was so full there was no room for a bottle of water. Room was largish with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. No a/c and found out, later that night, that ceiling fan didn't work properly. Room like a sauna. Booked 2 nights in June, stayed one.
