We drove up from downstate and our one son also did, though the other one came in from California. So three families., two with young kids. it was just priceless to see their faces when they walked into the house and could see right down to the water from the front door, and then the swingset, extra wow!
The house was very comfortable and close to everything in Caseville.
I guess if you are not familiar with this lake, as I guess I was not very much, it is not an inland lake obviously, so it can be a little rough with storms dropping in. Like for example, we thought we would go kayaking several of the days, but there really was only one come morning that the lake was calm and we weren’t able to get out to do it at that precise moment.
also, the instructions were very clear that you had to bring all of your own bed linens, bath towels and beach towels, and it seemed doable at the time. But when it really came down to it, it was actually a lot of work for us to coordinate the different sizes of beds and linens that we needed and who would bring it, especially with the people coming in from out of state, and then the car is got very full with towels and linens on top of everything else that we were bringing. For the price of this property, which to us is a little bit on the high side, I I think the lack of a linen service is a dealbreaker for me to rent in the future. I do understand the owner’s reason though, and it’s unfortunate, because I think people have taken advantage when the service was offered in the past, and that just ruins it for the rest of us.
Again, I want to say this is a BEAUTIFUL property and a wonderful owner!
